Rolling Stones to tour again. 15 dates in 15 cities (1 Viewer)

When I saw them on the Steel Wheels tour in 1989 it was a "nostalgia" event. It's is crazy to realize that the gap from 1989 to this tour is greater than the gap from their debut record to Steel Wheels. Goodness.

Interesting that they are playing so many dates in the South/Southeast - Orlando, Atlanta, Nashville and Raleigh - plus Dallas. They were just staying put in the big cities last time around and waited for fans to come to them.

As long as I can hear a really sloppy crunchy "Midnight Rambler" I'll be sticking around.

Was really hoping to see in the announcement that Mick Taylor would be playing a more significant role to coincide with the Sticky Fingers reissue. Doesn't mean it's not happening, but that's not a good sign. having him there and only using him for one or two songs is not only an insult to him, but is frustrating to a lot lifelong fans.

And let's leave the inflatable chicks in the warehouse this go around.

Seen them 3 times live. Will have to drive 6+ hours to see them this tour...don't know if it's happening. Any word on if any of the shows will be streamed?

From The Steel Wheelchairs tour to The Rolling Respirators tour.

My sister and I saw them on the SW tour in DC. Living Colour opened for them. That's also how long ago it's been.

IWT. :lmao: at mick high above the stage in top hat, coat and tails opening set two with sympathy. And that tour is what prompted the leave the inflatable chicks at home comment. Good show if a little too polished for them.

That's an odd itinerary from a logistical perspective.

I wonder what the driving force behind those cities was? Maybe other venues were booked already?

Yeah, cuz most of those are football stadia for college teams which means they should be free in that timeframe.

I guess Indy speedway on July 4th would be pretty cool.

Serious question, why no shows up the eastern seaboard? I live within an hour of DC, and the closest for me would be Raleigh. You'd think they'd have something in the DC, Baltimore, Philly or New York city area.....

Guessing they're not done adding shows yet.

Sweet. They killed it in Chicago two years ago...now I can see them in Orlando for about a fifth the price.

My assumption is what is there is all of them and they're not playing the NE because they always play the NE when they play the states. They're going places so others can see them, too, without paying a fortune to get and stay there.

And I'm not recalling the Stones ever announcing a final tour. When was that?

You will be paying a fortune. Price in the South are $69-$399 ea. I'm sure the $69 seats are limited to way up nose bleed back of stadium. I'd bet the average price for a decent seat is around $200, first level of stadium. Wonder if any good seats will be available to public, brokers and stub hub will most likely gobble them up on the pre-sale dates.

LOL. I was just telling my son that! I remember so vividly what a big deal it was. "See them now because it's your last chance". It was so crazy that when they came to Hartford some idiot got arrested for trying to sneak into the Civic Center - by cutting a hole in the roof!

Drove out to Pitt from jersey last weekend. Little flatter than the 4 2012 shows. No keys and no mick Taylor may have taken that edge off. Or it was a weird night Usti a delayed start. Crowd ate it up though and was into it.

May try to hit buffalo next weekend
