It stated that Curry injured his hammy after the game on the last few plays.... how bad is it.. just when u thought this guy would be a huge sleeper this year...

Oakland Raiders WR Ronald Curry (hamstring) suffered a hamstring injury Week 1 and missed the final plays of the game.

Maybe Porter will have some use. He was a waste in week one.

Strange that there is no mention of this on any Raider sites or boards. You would think that Kiffin would have mentioned this in his Monday PC...Homer info here would be nice.........

In week one? Hasn't that guy pretty much always been a waste? He broke out in 2002 and since then he's been drafted pretty high several years and never had a single season where he gains 1000yards or gets 10tds. I'll never understand the love for that guy. I sort of like him for parking in al davis's parking spot and getting away with it because it's much more impressive than anything he's put together on the field.

I'm a local and heard Curry interviewed on the radio by the team's announcers just after the game. Maybe I missed it, but I heard no mention of any injury at all. Just some plays missed due to a little dehydration.

You mean the guy who wouldn't "officially" name a starting QB? :goodposting: < at Kiffin and that stupid (and ineffective) "mind" game.

I don't love him. He is my #5 receiver. I'd like to get something out of him.

I had him once and he was a pain in the neck all year with his injuries. The following year it looked like he was the same to his then current owners. GL if you've got him.

He's a very good WR and fun to watch but I don't much care for him in FF.

If this is the case, it sounds like Roto might be confusing cramps and hamstrings.

For Roto that amounts to jaw-dropping accuracy.
Must be a non-issue as the blurb on Roto has been taken off under Raider player news

i dont like the matchup this week at all. Lee Evans is a serious talent and i almost had mas many yards as he did against Denver on Sunday.

love Curry this year though. hope the injury was just bad rumors, which it sounds like it was..

My bigger concern over his hammy is if Champ will be covering him or Porter this week.
I'm expecting that the Broncos will blow out the Raiders at home, so there could be some garbage points to be had.
They had their hands full with Buffalo, I doubt they will be blowing anyone out.
That was in Buffalo, often a tough place for visiting teams. In Denver, I think the Broncos will take the Raiders to the woodshed.

Players do get "cramps" in the hamstring area. Cramps can be caused by dehydration. A cramp has no long term implications, while a hamstring "pull" or "strain" does.

Just connecting the dots, perhaps. As everyone in this day and age, be it Rotonews, ESPN, FBG, is focused on "real-time" info.

RotoWorld followup:

Ronald Curry participated in all phases of Wednesday's practice.Impact: There was a brief mention in the SF Chronicle that Curry may have hurt a hamstring during Sunday's loss to Detroit, but he's all systems go for Denver.

Curry is getting the bench in favor of Brandon Marshall. 1st off, it's Culpepper, not McNown. I don't trust Culpepper to try and feed Curry the ball with accuracy. They are playing a tougher team with better CB's and Marshall is going to shred Fabian Washington.

Thought those who have him might like to know!

Agree with FavreCo ... though healthy, Curry is a tough start this week. Going with Santonio Holmes instead.
