Ronnie Brown Expected To Start? (1 Viewer)

Ronnie Brown (groin) is expected to start Sunday.

Brown goes against two huge run-stopping defensive tackles in Kevin and Pat Williams, so the Dolphins may be wise to run Ronnie outside and take advantage of Minnesota's less-imposing outside linebackers. It's a tough matchup for Brown, but we expect him to get near a full load.

I would like to know his potential for cutting a certain direction based upon the severity of his groin injury. I see his ranking dropping. Is there any info out there?

The Vikings have shut down every back they have faced this season. Barring the Dolphins getting out to an early lead, this is a terrible matchup. 40ru 30re

I'm trying to decide between Ronnie and Lundy. Ronnie's match-up plus the injury are huge negatives, but Lundy could easily find himself on the bench in favor of Gado at some point in this game also. I'm not expecting big things from either guy.

Im between Brown...Betts and Lundy at flex...damn I hate this
I smell 15-20 in PPR leagues for Betts..... good choice.Brown vs. a top run D. Not a great matchup. He did put up good numbers vs. Chicago, so if he's a go he should be a start.Still waiting to hear.

Same thing was said before the Bears game...
Check the stats, the Bears certainly didn't shut down every back before the Dolphins came to town...go through the Viking stats, and you get a who's who of NFL RB's averaging 2.2 ypc...

Exactly! I'm going with Dillon over Ronnie this week. Just my gut feeling, and I'm sure it will burn my ###. Sounds like Ronnie is a go. Starting according to Mort.

Reason I decided to bench him in favor of Fred Taylor:

1) Vikings have been #1 or #2 in the league against the run each of the past 3 games, and are #1 overall (as everyone knows).

2) Last week when Brown tweeked his groin, he said "it was hard running outside, but I was ok running inside". The strength of the Mini run defense is their two DT's, meaning if Brown were to have success, he would have to run outside... which is the weakness with his injury.

3) I feel Brown's game is similar to Kevin Jones' game (from Detroit - meaning both are good runners but very good receivers) and against Mini KJ had 42 rushing yards and 8 receiving yards.

I think if you have another option, go with that, but it is DARNED hard to bench Brown...

I don't think I need a huge game I just need a safe 6-8+ points so I'm going Henry over Brown. I've got a decision to make on Alexander too but he should be safer to get me something unless I dig down deep to Mike Bell or Randy Moss.

My decision is Brown or Dunn, two awesome matchups right? Well, I'm going with Brown because I feel at least he'll get more goal line opportunities than Dunn.

i'd go ronnie over dunn for sure. edit to add: with lewis out, the ravens could be easier vs. run. look what henry did to them last week. tougher decision, IMO.

i have a different problem: i can start a RB or WR at flex, and am still debating ronnie or the emerging/emerged mark clayton (vs. the shaky ATL secondary). PPR league....tough on, esp. with mason banged up, clayton could be big today...

I'm starting Betts over Brown this week, hope it works. Last time I thought Ronnie would have no game he ran all over the Bears.

It's so tough to bench Ronnie, but I just can't pull the trigger on him... He's sitting for Foster on my squad.

DOH! hate last minute decisions, but i switched in ma.clayton for brown....this one's gonna bite me, i can feel it.
