Ronnie Brown, RB, Miami Dolphins (1 Viewer)

I think the signing of David Martin really bumped up Brown's value. If you break down the numbers, Ronnie is a much better back out of single-back formations. Ricky is better out of I-formations. Thing is, 2-TE formations are statistically the most efficient passing formations for the Dolphins. So with the return of David Martin, expect a lot more 2-TE formations, thus a lot more singleback formations for Brown. As has already been stated, Brown is a FPPG monster when healthy. The only question is whether he can stay healthy. With the upside of a top-10 RB, I would certainly take Brown as early as the 4th round.
They brought in David Martin for his pass catching skills not his blocking skills. Thay had 2 other TE's who are better blockers and one of them was just cut due to a broken foot.So I don't think David Martin will enhance his value at all.
Did you not understand what I meant? I never said anything about David Martin as a blocker. I said David Martin being on the roster means they will run more 2-TE formations. Martin's blocking skills are irrelevant.
They were going to run two TE sets whether they brought him in or not. Whether that would have been Joey Hanos (now cut due to a broken foot and running first team for 2 TE sets BTW) or Nabone. So again David Martin being signed is irrelevent to Ronnie Brown's success. Running two TE sets...yes that is relevent and your correct in that point.I know exactly what you meant. And why does your tone seem so hostile? We are talking about stinikin fantasy football not world issues.

They ran 2 TE sets a lot less in 09 than 08, because they opted to have Polite on the field instead of Haynos. Now that they have Martin back, they'll run a lot more 2-TE sets. Nothing hostile about my tone either, my apologies if it came across as such.

That's the problem with text....it can be easily mis interpreted. All is good. And Go Dolphins!!!

Ronnie Brown is the modern-day version of Fragile Fred Taylor. So much talent, but always gets injured.

He was on a pace last year that would have netted 1330 total yards and 15 TDs. I'll say that Ronnie plays 12 games, gets 950 yards rushing, 200 yards receiving and scores 11 TDs. I'll throw in a passing TD out of the Wildcat formation.

Goes without saying to handcuff Sticky Icky Ricky to him.

True, but after several years, Taylor shed that injury bug and became reasonably durable. Maybe, just maybe, Ronnie can stay healthy himself and show what he can do over the course of a full season.

I'm looking over a few players before the season starts and I'm surprised nobody has mentioned anything about this team's o-line.

Haven't the Dolphins spent an obscene amount of money on the guys up front? Aren't they supposed to have one of the better linesin football?
