Rookie IDP Dynasty Targets - Need help (1 Viewer)

I have an upcoming dynasty IDP draft where I have the expansion team so I'm unlikely to be competitive for several years. This league includes 45 roster slots (Off/IDP) so most relevant players will get drafted and stashed away for a while. We can run either a 4/3 or 3/4 defense and DT are NOT required. We also start 4 DBs, CBs are NOT required. We've had our expansion (non rookie) draft and I ended up with the following IDPs:

Gerald McCoy

Everette Brown

Carlos Dunlap

Greg Hardy

Justin Smith

Will Smith

Kyle Vanden Bosch

Stewart Bradley

Thomas Davis

Justin Durant

EJ Henderson

D'Qwell Jackson

Sean Lee

Anthony Spencer

Daryl Washington

Kareem Jackson

Dominique Rodgers Cromartie

Abram Elam

Chris Harris

Sean Jones

Taylor Mays

Unfortunately, I wasn't left with much to choose from since the current owners had pretty big protected lists. I need some Dynasty IDP targets that may end up in good situations 1, 2, or 3 years down the line. I'm primarily focused on rookies but if there are other 2nd or 3rd year players that may end up in better situations down the road (example: who gets MLB when Ray Lewis retires?) I'd love to hear suggestions.... any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Let the professionals do the scouting for you. Focus on players drafted high.

I am a big fan of DAL rookie LB Bruce Carter.

Tackle leagues this would be my targeted rookies. Big play I would add Von Miller, P. Peterson,

DL

M. Darius Buf

A. Clayborn TB

J. Sheard Cle

R. Quinn Stl

D. Bowers TB

LB

M. Foster TB

N. Irving Den

B. Carter Dal

C. Matthews Phi

DB

J. Jarrett Phi

I don't know if he plays the MIKE when Ray retires, but Sergio Kindle could be a guy to pick up. He's on no one's radar after getting hurt at the beginning of last season. He's healthy now and may be a surprise sleeper...

I thought Kindle was more of an OLB in a 3-4 or a SLB in a 4-3. While his size is right, I've not heard his name as a possible replacement for Ray Ray. McClain and ellerbe seem to be battling for WLB but the position has not generated much fantasy scoring. Ray Ray will soon show his age/get injured/retire and I've thought Ellerbe was the most likely replacement, but the replacement is not likely on the roste today.

A couple rookies make sense for you as co-ILB in 3-4. You have Daryl Washington/Stewart Bradley and Sean Lee, so you might target Bruce Carter to go with Sean Lee and Sturdivant later on to hedge the Cardinals ILBs.

Other than jarret listed earlier, the rookie safeties offer a lot of down the road potential - Carter, Keo, Myles, Prosinski, Searcy, Conte.

There are a few SS breakout candidates I would target this year:

Quin, moving into the HOU SS position and getting good reviews in camp.

Spievey, moving into the DET SS position

Lewis, expected to displace McGraw as the KCC SS.

These three are my favorites to emerge as studs.

Any updates on Quin? Will he be the full time starter at SS, or will it be a timeshare with Troy Nolan? Also, what sort of impact will the 3-4 switch have for the SS position in HOU as far as tackles go?I would think it would be a negative, but that's just a gut feel. Anyone done any analysis on that?Note that Quin is still listed as a CB in some places (ESPN, Yahoo, etc), so he is intriguing in a tackle-based, CB-required league.BTW, isn't Eric Berry the KC SS? Thought McGraw/Lewis were battling for FS.Finally, what's the Spievey move mean for Delmas? Do you expect his stats to plummet? Thanks.
