Roster Analysis (1 Viewer)

Cool in the pocket

So, I'm relatively new at FB and took a wait and see approach to my roster rather than dumping guys who were off to a slow start or trying to wheel and deal. My pitching is weak and I've been streaming pitchers selectively, but my team is hanging in there in 2nd. I'm not to happy with SS, but the position overall is thin, so I can live with it. My hitting will be back at full pop when Holliday comes off the DL giving me a surplus of OF's with not enough slots to put them. So I'm looking to move one (or more) to get some pitching help. H2H 7x7 league. Some questions:

How to you go about dealing hitting for pitching as hitters have streaks but seem more "stable"?

This is the big one for me as I'm having a hard time figuring out what pitcher I should ask for Soriano for example.

Would you move Hamilton or is he the SOTD? Would any one pitcher be enough in return?

What do you recommend?

Pitching targets that you can get at a bargain price? (Harang? Verlander?)

Roster:

C Brian McCann

1B Mark Teixeira

2B Brandon Phillips

3B Miguel Cabrera

SS Stephen Drew

Alfonso Soriano (ChC - LF,CF)

Corey Hart (Mil - CF,RF)

Shane Victorino (Phi - CF,RF)

Robinson Canó (NYY - 2B)

Josh Hamilton (Tex - CF,RF)

Nick Markakis (Bal - RF)

Matt Holliday (Col - LF) DL

***********************************************

John Maine (NYM - SP)

Mike Mussina (streaming)

Matt Capps (Pit - RP)

Brandon Lyon (Ari - RP)

Brett Myers(Phi - SP,RP)

Aaron Laffey (Cle - SP)

Félix Hernández (Sea - SP)

You can probably get about any pitcher for Soriano. I happen to think highly of Soriano this season, but if you're trading him do not worry about a buy-low pitcher just ask for who you want. Soriano's value is the equivalent of the very top pitchers. If it were my team, I might look into moving Holliday instead. You could see if the Peavy dealer is interested in swapping his rights (and more if you can get it) for Holliday's rights.

Isn't that kind of selling Holliday low since he is just coming off the DL and the Rockies have struggled in general? I'm not against moving any of the OF's, I just want to try and get fair value in return (or better if I can) and I'm having a hard time figuring out what OF X = in pitching. I've been offered Haren for Markakis and Laffey which seems fair, but I'm a little leery of Haren's after the break fall offs.
