How much do you think Justin Miller will see the field this week ? Is there a tendency that he gets Barretts snaps, when he's out injured ? And how does Miller look ? Will he be just as good as advertised ?

My league awards points for return yards, if he played whole games he would be a stud

Barret is pretty dinged up. I not only think Miller will get the majority of snaps, I expect the Jags to both run at him and throw at him. I believe the Jets will at the very least show 8 in the box, even if they drop back at the snap, daring Jax to throw. I think the Jets will try to shut down the run, and force Lefty to beat them in the air. In short, I think Miller could, should, have a good day FF-wise.

Mangini tends to throw different packages out there from one week to the next, trying to force the opposing offense into an attack that they aren't as good at. Make Indy run the ball, make Jax throw. It makes projections a bit more difficult, but this is my best guess as to how it plays out. I think Jax will try to run, the Jets will stack the box to try and force them into a passing attack. Miller, as opposed to Dyson is the guy they would go after, I think. He has speed and talent, but still makes mistakes. That should make him a target. Having said that, going to that well too often could also backfire, and Miller's chances at INT's and PD's should be decent in this game.

Magini's tendency to change the D scheme from one week to the next makes projections for Jets IDP's somewhat risky. That includes Rhodes, Coleman and Vilma too. One week he'll blitz Hobson, the next week Thomas. Very dependent on what the CS see as potential mismatches. The only trend I see as consistant so far is to try to make successful running offenses to throw, and good passing offenses to run.

Is that any help? LOL! Hey, frankly, I'm still trying to figure out what to expect from this team one week to the next, and that is exactly what Mangini wants. So far, other than what I've said, I still don't have a ton of confidence what the schemes will be each week. My best guess....

Thanks! Appreciate it very much, I just found this report making my confusion total :D

(Rotoworld) After Jets rookie CB Drew Coleman worked with the first team Thursday and Friday, it appears that second-year man Justin Miller may be demoted Sunday in Jacksonville.

Impact: Miller scored on a thrilling kickoff return last week against the Colts, but his work in the secondary has left much to be desired.

I like Millers potential esp if he starts getting an INT here and there, the ball in his hands and a little space to work on could be lethal.

Also do you think Dyson is a good play as a DB #4 or #5 on a weekly basis ? He's a pretty good CB and should see plenty of playing time, or is Barrett or Coleman the one to pick up ?

Damn I hate these Obi Wan Belichick diciples :D

Dyson just might be the most consistant IDP scorer on the Jets D, but I don't see too many teams throwing his way. The Titans tried that, and he had two picks. They do like to run at him though, he's a bit smallish and not a great tackler. Right now he's the #18 DB in one of my dynasty leagues that values tackles more highly than big plays. If teams continue to rack up 34 carries/game against the jets, he'll most likely continue to get good tackle numbers. He plays every down, unlike Coleman and Barrett and Miller. Coleman has lost a couple of starts to Strait this year. I'd say Dyson is a good #4 DB in my 16 team dynasty leagues for sure.....

Thanks! Quality info as always  , still looking for an inside scoop on Millers "demotion" tho

I have no clue on what to do with him this week

drew coleman is playing miller will still return kicks'
Drew Coleman to Start?Posted Oct 7th 2006 7:36AM by Brian BassettFiled under: Jets, AFC EastWith David Barrett banged up and Justin Miller struggling some last week against Reggie Wayne, rookie Drew Coleman was taking snaps with the first team at corner Thursday and Friday, possibly to replace Justin Miller. It's hard to say for certain until Sunday how this will play out, but Mangini must have been displeased with Miller's pass interference call and 41 yard reception that Reggie Wayne had while he was in coverage.Look for Miller to play, but Coleman might in fact get more snaps this week. I just don't know how ready Coleman is to start, but he has contributed well while on special teams.

Yep, just read at my Jets MB that Clayton reported Drew Coleman will start over Miller. Coleman is two inches shorter than Miller, who already was a height mismatch with the Jax big WR's. I'm sure that DelRio will go after the rookie. If he falters, Miller might get back in there pretty quickly.

Pretty quickly, as in this week ? :stalker:

Can't answer that question.... the Jets just resigned Poteat who was cut by the Pats for the second time this year. Obviously, the Jets aren't happy with the CB's they are putting out there now. The Jets defense is really a mess now. I really don't know what schemes they will try to implement against Miami, or which CB's will start, although Dyson is most likely to keep his starting spot.
