Getting consistent targets (7 target a game average)

Last 2 games he played lights out, and starts this week with a TD rec... 4 TD's in 3 weeks and the third game isn't over..

2010 so far:

week 1 5.1 fantasy points at Redskins 3rec - 21yards - 0TD's - 7targets

week 2 7.3 fantasy points vs Bears 4rec - 53yards - 0TD's - 7targets

week 3 28.7 fantasy points at Texans 5rec - 117yards - 2TD's - 6targets

week 4 Bye

week 5 20.7 fantasy points vs Titans 6rec - 87yards - 1TD's - 8targets

Average after 4.5 games:

4.2 rec average

65 yard average

.89 TD average

x 16 games = 67 rec, 1040 yards, 14 TD's

Just for giggles

If you discounted the first 2 games and considered the last 2 games what we can expect out of Roy:

5.5 rec average

102 yard average

1.5 TD average

x16 games = 88 rec, 1632 yards, 24 TD's...... LOL

As a Dez owner, Roy has tempered my expectations for this year. But it's only a matter of time before Roy is gone and Dez takes over. Won't be this year. Next year probably. Roy's massive contract and Dez being Jerry's boy make this inevitable.

After week 6 game : on pace for 67/979/16

254.4 pts in ppr 15.9 per game average...

Ranked 14th in average pts per game in WR category..

Low WR1 High WR2 #'s

Roy has the talent to be a stud. I watched him for four years at Texas. He is a physical freak and can make some ridiculous catches. I think its always been a matter of work ethic. Glad to see things finally turning around for him.

Pick him up in a redraft if he's still available. Dynasty, I'd be afraid he'll start sucking against once he's signed his new deal next year.

Just my two cents on RW

I actually traded for Roy last week giving up Derrick Mason for him. Not to be boastful about that trade but to me I got a playmaker for a possession receiver and that's a good thing. FBG's have the value of these two players over the rest of the season about equal (34 to 37) but most fans would want the safer play in Mason I admit. However from watching closely the way I see this RW is clearly the better FF pickup this year.

The Cowboys offense is getting predictable and the running game is stagnant which I saw coming. I admit, I am not on the Felix Jones bandwagon. To me he doesn't appear to be what is advertised (fast elusive scoring RB). When the running game is stopped they lean on the passing more and with the Cowboys needing wins more then ever I believe they are going to rely on the pass much more the rest of the way since that is still working. Outside of Miles Austin who I consider top 3 WR in the game today who's been stepping up? Roy Williams because he's gives coverage advantages in 3 receiver sets.

There is something about this guy that fans just don't like so I still think you could get him cheap. I don't know why more people aren't talking about Roy Williams. This is the guy that Dallas gave up three picks for and he's finally giving them what they expected of him. Jerry gave Roy a big time contract and wants to see him do well. As a third option I can't think of a more talented WR in the league to throw to outside of Minnesota (Rice Harvin Moss) and he's been building the chemistry with Romo this year that everyone was wanting after that trade. I see a lot of potential in Roy Williams going forward and if he's on your WW I'd pick him up or take a gamble on him for the right price. Good thread

defenses have a lot of guys to consider. Roys getting some mis-matches.

Roy is not a #1 WR, but seems to be flourishing in his role right now.

This is fantasy football. Liking him has nothing to do with anything. Until recently, he has looked like the Ron Artest of WR's. Big and uncoordinated, and he was dropping everything. He and Romo are gaining some rapport, and he is the second, to fourth option on every passing play. While Miles and Witten attract all the attention, he's getting open and finally making the the best of his situation. The Boys drafting Bryant may have been what finally set a fire under his ###.

Too bad they can't overcome the horendeous coaching of Wade and Red #######.

This is fantasy football where your opposing players weaknesses can be used against them to your own benefit. If there is a player not well liked who you see potential in and your league mates think like you do that the player sucks then you can get them cheap. You won't get Roy Williams as cheap this week as you could have last week or the week before but whenever you see players like this go off for several weeks in a row you need to take notice and exploit opinions to your advantage. To say that public opinion doesn't matter is silly to me. I'd love to have a team of players who no one likes if they are producing and over the past 3 games Roys gotten 5 TD's and scored in the past three straight games. For someone on fire like this in a great situation as far as opportunities who possesses the necessary skills to succeed I think there would be much more noise about him. He's flying under the radar while guys like Brandon Tate are getting attention which allows you to buy cheap.
