Agreed, but a week early is always bettertough to gauge until you see how things shake out - the guy didnt have a week of practice as the WR2/WR3. Will he play inside or outside? Will Nelson play inside or outside? What will be Ruvell Martin's role with Jones out? Will Gailey scale back the offense since he is running low on receivers? Too many questions to be answered - Stash Roosevelt and see what happens . . .
yes, but right now he is just "a guy" . . . he has the opportunity but does he have any game to be a factor?? Moore is overrated on this board but he does have some talent, and Baldwin has no QB but has done more in his brief career than the current "hero of the week" . . . I picked up Roosevelt in two leagues but I don't stare start him til he shows something . . . Yes on both accounts. I think I will sit tight one more week to see how it shakes out. I hope I don't regret holding onto Moore over this guy.Remember, Jones is supposed to be back in 4-6 weeks . . .In any case, Buffalo has one of the most interesting passing offenses in the league . . .
That's why we're all here. I guess we will find out.I'm not sure I get the bump. My RSP suggests he was maxed and had limited upside. Are we saying he's good now or he's just a fill in?
It is intereting to see a QB lock in on routes/position versus an individual receiver. You usually hear the exact opposite.the slot receiver in the Bills offense is valuable in PPR leagues and tends to be the 1st or 2nd option for Fitz because he is very comfortable throwing over the middle in the spread attack. Last year we saw Roscoe Parrish start out hot, then David Nelson finished strong. This year, Nelson started out strong and now it looks like Roosevelt could move into that role with Nelson moving outside to replace Jones.Just based on the opportunity, he's worth a look. Also he was very productive in college at a school not known for producing NFL talent.
Nice call.Could possibly be a game where he gets a fair amount of targets... the Giants have the ability to get to the passer quickly, which could cause Fitzpatrick to focus on quick passes, which would be the name of the game for Roosevelt.
Squeezed a nice bye week cover out of him. Do I think he can continue? Well... the 1 catch per game pace, sure! But I wouldn't expect him to go to the house every time. Jones should be back in about a month. I'm not convinced it's his job, though. If Roosevelt plays well, he could hang onto the job. The offense is going to run through Fred Jackson, and Steve Johnson will be the first WR in line. Beyond that, the crystal ball gets awful cloudly. Nelson has shown the ability to put up big numbers, but Roosevelt is currently occupying that position. While he can put up numbers for you, playing him, in lieu of further evidence, is currently a roll of the dice.'LittlePhatty said:Nice call.Could possibly be a game where he gets a fair amount of targets... the Giants have the ability to get to the passer quickly, which could cause Fitzpatrick to focus on quick passes, which would be the name of the game for Roosevelt. With Jones out 4-6 weeks, do you think things will stay this way? If Jones comes back, will it be Nelson who benefits right around FF Playoffs time?
