Who do we like? Some how I made the second round of the playoffs and my top 5 running backs are all gone for the year or out for the week. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yup. Lost foster, Lewis, Ingram and somehow still managed to sew up #1 seed and week 14 bye. Buuuut...my 2 starting RBS are now Tim Hightower and James white.

I had a low waiver priority so my other RBS are Danny woodhead,Cameron artis Payne, Polk and cmike.

It's enough to make me puke in my mouth. Few times a day, really...lol

CAP and cmike and even Polk all have good matchups. Polk probably the least talented with the most touches.

I'm actually leaning towards (gulp) C-Mike vs Cleveland. Over Ben Watson, devante Parker, Diggs, Polk, cap, woodhead.

But I'm sure my lean will change as more news comes out about their potential involvement Sunday.

I don't think it's a matter of "who we like" so much as "who we're stuck with".

In my 16-team league, I'm trotting out Shaun Draughn, Brandon Bolden and Bilal Powell this week. Have JStew, Artis-Payne and Spencer Ware on my bench.

Yeah, same boat. I've lost Marshawn/Dion Lewis/Rawls/Blount/JStew. I have placed a FAAB bid w/ my last remaining $$ on Denard Robinson. This is significant because in this league, there are no free waivers. Once FAAB is gone, no more moves/acquisitions; our blind bidding period for the week ends tonight. Yeldon hasn't even been ruled-out, officially or otherwise, by the Jags for week 15, much less multiple weeks.

I could also grab Hightower, but dude just doesn't impress, and while I understand that any starting RB is valuable, I highly doubt he gets 25+ touches again; he needs that type of volume to be productive, IMO. I'll gamble on Denard getitng th enod this week, and maybe I'll get lucky that he also gets week 16 as well should I advance. Screw it; playing it safe has never worked for me in fantasy football.

Hightower played in TB against a very underrated run defense. The matchup this week is a little softer. And he's at homeothermic saints more often than not play their best ball. Hightower seems like a lock for 20+ touches. And he's involved in the passing game. Spiller clearly isn't a threat.

I'll take Hightower over a lot of other backs rt now.

I don't know how you could start c-mike

I lost Rawls this week. Not enough $$$ to get Robinson. Ended up grabbing Polk over the Carolina RB's.

I lost Stewart and Rawls this week. Was outbid on Denard but got Bryce Brown,

Im not seeing Cmike as an option this week. Not sure he will even be active until they see that he can remember a couple of plays and trust him not to chest bump an official after the coin toss.

Just grabbed Tolbert because I think Cam trusts him.

So Brown and Tolbert look favourite for me.

I have David Johnson (I will start), Forte, Lacy and Hill and am leaning toward starting Hightower for the playoffs...gulp...I am not sure I have the stones to do that, but Dodds states that i should and NO is home against a softer defense than Tampa on the road. Hill has a great matchup as well, but with Dalton out they may crowd the LOS (of course Cinci may run a lot too). Forte has the highest floor, but he seems to be splitting time and just happened to get the TD last week and Minnesota is not a great matchup. Lacy has been hot and cold but i do think he will be good as well.

Anyone else have guts to start Hightower over a decent option? Dodds thinks he is a top 10 option this week

I lost Charles, Foster, Blount, Stewart, and Ingram. I have Bolden,Tolbert/Whittaker, West, Powell,Brown and Polk. I wish Michaels wasn't back with Seattle, I would feel pretty comfortable with Brown for a week or 2, he would catch a couple passes and he has big play ability. I think this is a James White game for New England, Carolina feels like a complete crap shoot, I think I would lean Tolbert because of the goal line carries, but Cam could steal those. If Ware misses the game then West is a no brainer, if he plays I don't think I can play him. Powell is nice for PPR, and the Houston running game just scares me.

Entered week 14 with Ingram, Yeldon and Rawls. My darts for this week will have to be 2 of the following Hightower, B. Brown, B. Bolden or D. Woodhead. What happened to Woodhead? This guy was my PPR stud and weekly plug and play.

If you are still alive and having to start any of these guys, expect a lot of seasons to end this week for those owners.

I don't see this as a James White game at all. Pats should control this one easily at home, with Bolden grinding out the second half. White may grab a td or something, but Bolden should get the lions share of the carries this week, especially in the second half. Bolden should also be in there for gl.

I am rolling Hightower in one league and Bryce and Sproles in another. I just hope Hightower gets a few more catches and at least half the carries of last week, that league is the one I care about and I am just hoping for 10+ points. I'm not asking for a lot. :)

Lost all my RBs other than Doug Martin, West & McFadden in one league. I'm going to roll out D. Robinson or Bryce Brown as my RB2. McFadden & West sit on the bench. Don't trust McFadden against the NYJ D.

My starters at running back this week are Hightower and Shoelace. And I'm 12-1. All the other remaining teams are set on RB, so they're letting me scrape the barrel on free agents. So kind of them

I think you have to play West in your situation. I actually think he is a strong play with Ware ailing. Martin/Robinson/West is about as good as you can expect right now.

Maybe...though, lots of people are hurting.

I may be relying on Brown or Whittaker (because not sure I can trust McFadden against the Jets or Evans tonight. Starting L. Murray and probably West.

Got this far even after losing a ton of guys to injury.

Opponent right now has Bolden and Robinson as he just lost Yeldon and Blount.

So a blanket statement that if you are having to start any of these guys expect your season to end is pretty much wrong.

The part about Hightower is good to hear. When the news of Ingram broke, an owner in my league grabbed Spiller and I followed by taking Hightower. I was shocked when he ended up getting 28 carries. With the injury to JStew, I am just about forced to start him this week. I did get Bryce Brown, but with the C-Mike signing I am not going to risk starting a Seatlle running back this week. So, Hightower it is. I am hoping the combo of playing at home on MNF translates into 20+ carries for this guy.

FWIW I have Gurley, Ivory, Bernard and I'm still tempted to roll with Bolden and Powell instead. The way the RB position has played out this year there is just as good a chance of losing with top tier RBs in your lineup as there is with these replacement guys.

Depends on your league setup. In a PPR White is a double digit play.

I am confidently starting David Johnson and Hightower over Forte, Murray, Riddick, Sproles, etc.

Between injuries, timeshares, and inconsistent studs there are very few sure things at the rb position now. I am going with the high volume guys who are hot right now. Plus AZ and NO should provide lots of redzone opportunities so a good chance these guys will get a TD to pad the stats.

If you are in a bind due to injuries then Jacksonville RB Denard Robinson looks like a real nice fill-in this week.

This past Sunday when T.J. Yeldon got injured he got the bulk of the carries and turned in a solid game.

- 14 rushing attempts

- 75 rushing yards

- 1 rush TD

- 1 reception

- 12 receiving yards

If he starts he 'could' get a few more carries and possibly get an extra look or two in the passing game.

----------

Robinson could be in line for a featured role in Jacksonville's backfield this week if a sprained knee sidelines T.J. Yeldon. In limited action over the last three contests, Robinson has run for 119 yards on 20 carries, including 75 yards and a score in relief of Yeldon versus Indianapolis. Against a Falcons defense that's allowed more rushing touchdowns to tailbacks (15) than any team in the league, Robinson could well have a nice day.

lost stewart and rawls too. so annoyed to miss both those guys during playoffs. i'm lucky however i've got AP and Ivory though :)

now for my flex, instead of a RB stud, i'm faced with fozzy whitaker or james white ... can't decide but leaning white with blount gone

I'd probably roll whtie out, Especially if its PPR

That isn't the Pats way at all, I am doing this on my phone and off the top of my head, but I think the Titans defend the run well and get lit up in the passing game. If I am remembering right the Pats will still pass when they are up by 3 scores. Last week Bolden got most if the carries and White scored the 3 yard td. Trying to predict who will get the goal line work for the Pats is a crap shoot. They could be going no huddle and he isn't on the field, they might pass every play on goal to go, or Bolden might get all the goal line.
