Rushing QBs vs 3-4 D's (1 Viewer)

Fantasy football-wise, does anyone have any insight on this kind of a matchup? Do running QBs have an advantage since the 3 lineman are not able to contain him and any blitzing LB's create openings behind them, or are they at a disadvantage since the extra LB means a slightly faster defense and more options to potentially spy the QB?

I am just asking as far as QB rushing stats go.

The Saints have been slammed FF-wise by two running QBs so far, Newton & Griffin.

It remains to be seen if more traditional pocket passers - like Cassell this week, will excel as well. The Saints lack a serious outside perimeter speed end of any kind, and frankly their LBs are just not getting it done as had been hoped. Martez Wilson is out there but can only do so much. To boot the Saints have been starting a 6th round CB due to injury to Greer and the loss of Porter.

Last year the average QB had a ypc of 4.41 against teams who play a base 3-4. And a 4.34 YPC against teams that play a 4-3.

Specifically:

Rodgers 7.64 vs 3-4 and 3.54 vs. 4-3

Newton 5.33 vs 3-4 and 5.76 vs 4-3

Ponder 6.82 vs 3-4 and 8.42 vs 4-3

Locker 9 vs 3-4 and 6.71 vs 4-3

Vick 7.79 vs 3-4 and 8.10 vs 4-3

Tebow 5.3 vs 3-4 and 5.98 vs 4-3

So it looks like in general for running QB's, it's better to face 4-3. But my guess is that it's very team specific.

I have a play by play database, so it's just a matter of extracting the data.
