Ryan Torain or Roy Helu - News on who is starting (1 Viewer)

Looking for news or updates on who is starting today.

I have seen several threads speculating what might happen.

-reported that the redskins website has updated the depth chart to show Torain#1 Helu #2

-detailed anaylasis showing how Helu played more last week. Like 34 plays to 4 over Torain.

I know. This is a situation to avoid, but here I am.

I just feel if Helu gets the call he will get the majority of plays and is worth starting.

If Torain starts I probably stay away

So updates please?

Does it matter who they say is starting?

Nobody will know which RB gets the majority of the touches today until imid 2nd quarter. It comes down to an owner's options at RB and how much they want to gamble. I'd lean toward Torain getting the first opportunity today but it's just a guess.

I am interested. Last week several reputable news sites were reporting that Hightower was starting. Myself and most analysts chose to ignore it.

Was mainly in for pass protection. In the 34 plays, he had 3 touches. If game is close, expect Torain to get snaps. But if Washington falls behind and needs to pass, Helu will be in.

In all honesty, nobody will really know until the game is well underway. All you can do, if Helu or Torain are your best options, is to put them in your lineup and hope. If you have both, and need to start one, just go with your gut.

My personal feeling is Torain will see the 1st and 2nd down work and Helu will play on passing downs. If the 'Skins are somehow up, they will use Torain to run the clock. If they are behind, you'll see a lot more of Helu.

But I have no more insight than anyone else, and it is just my gut feeling.

If Torain is listed as #1 on the depth chart, doesnt that answer your question
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shanny knows! Muhahahaha! No. Honestly, it doesn't. The starter tag doesn't matter nearly as much as the flow of the game. Its a crapshoot. I am rolling with Helu this week for no other reason than he will get some touches. Who gets more is anyone's guess.

I am the victim of playing Torain the last two weeks. Should I play a struggling Ryan Torain, or a high-targeted Brandon Marshall with a terrible QB throwing it his way?

I picked up both Torain and Helu this week off of waivers. Then this morning, I noticed that due to injuries and bye weeks, I need a WR for next week. I saw that Emmanuel Sanders was available on the ww, so I am rolling the dice the Torrain will be the Redskins back based on his slightly more experience. So I cut Helu and picked up Sanders. I hope it was the right call. :banned:

Down 20-0 and Torain is 8 carries for 14yards.

Really?

Ya think you might wanna get Helu involved. At all?

Even before it was a blowout Helu was getting nothing.

Well, rolled with Torrain, but really wouldn't matter as BJGE sucks, Moreno sucks too...though, he at least has 42 yards.
