S. Holmes Misses Thursday's Practice (1 Viewer)

According to the team's official web site, Ben Roethlisberger and Willie Parker returned to practice Thursday after sitting Wednesday. Roethlisberger is nursing a sore hip, but will play as usual; same goes for Parker, who has a sore knee.

Backup tight end Jerame Tuman (back) likely won't play again.

Santonio Holmes' status is more uncertain; the second-year receiver was held out Thursday with a hamstring injury -- apparently a newer development.

Those interested will obviously want to check back for more after Friday's practice is over and the final injury report is released.

from the post gazette

WR Santonio Holmes (hamstring) was held out as a precaution. Holmes, though, said he will attempt to practice today and expects to play against the Browns

I was just about to post the same PG quote. So instead, I want to ask other Steeler faithful: Have you noticed that the Steelers seem to be a bit more cautious with injured players this season?I am not complaining, just asking.

I don't think so -- Cowher would keep players nursing injuries off the practice field as well. Last night on the radio they were saying that Holmes was working out and walking around fine yesterday so I think there is no reason for concern.Ben and FWP practiced yesteday for those that are interested.

I just hope that it's not a replay of Week 5 where he's active for the game but then he tweaks the hammy in pre-game warm-ups and doesn't play.

I know I should know this but what does Sehorn refer to?
It's a bad attempt at humor. When the board changed, the black dot was replaced by the white corner. Jason Sehorn was a white cornerback. I'm just marking the thread for future reference.

That is always a possibility but from everything I have read and heard has suggests that he is fine and will play.

Santonio Holmes is active in Week 10.He's joined by Ben Roethlisberger and Willie Parker as active for Sunday's favorable matchup against Cleveland. QB Brian St. Pierre, WR Willie Reid, FS Ryan Clark, RB Gary Russell, FB Dan Krieder, G Darnell Stapleton, T Trai Essex, and TE Jerame Tuman are the Steelers' inactives.

Anybody listening to pre-game in PITTS? Homers have any insight if Holmes is warming up this week?

I'm starting him UNLESS someone says he is out. I'm assuming he's good to go.
