S Tyrann Mathieu, NO (1 Viewer)

If he gets on the open market he's going to get a lot of love...a contender adding him would be getting a huge addition...he's only 26 so the money you give him should be pretty safe as he should play at a high level for most of his next contract...he is going to be a real hot commodity...

Would love it if the Lions have dumped Ebron to free up space for him. Honey Badger, Slay, Quin, Lawson, Diggs, Wilson  we’d be absolutely  loaded at DB, have just beefed up our LBs and can draft DL

Doubtful though

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports the Texans are "seriously interested" in free agent DB Tyrann Mathieu.

Mathieu would be a big get for the Texans, who featured one of the league's worst secondaries last year. Houston already made a splash by poaching Aaron Colvin from Jacksonville and can go for the jugular by reeling in Mathieu. Still just 25, the Honey Badger was let go by Arizona on Wednesday after refusing a pay cut. He was a first-team All-Pro as recently as 2015.

Texans signed DB Tyrann Mathieu, formerly of the Cardinals, to a one-year contract.

J.J. Watt put the full-court press on with a recruiting pitch and was able to seal the deal for Houston. Mathieu was cut by the Cardinals earlier this week after he refused to restructure his contract. Mathieu will look to rehab his value in Houston and hit the market next year. He's still just 25 and can play all over the back of the defense at safety, nickel, and even dime linebacker. The Texans have had one of the best weeks in the league, adding Mathieu, CB Aaron Colvin, OG Zach Fulton, and OG Senio Kelemete. OL and the secondary were huge needs.
