Safe to say this guy isn't interested in the job? (1 Viewer)

I'm in HR, leading the staffing function for a Fortune 100 company. This has got to be one of the better responses from a job seeker in the past year or so.

I've always said I was going to keep a copy of these responses and make a book one day.

*******************************************************************

Since it is your company that contacted me about this so called “job”, Company XXX should compensate me for my wasted time, for a job I would not accept anyway, as Company XXX has been a CIA front company for over 60 years…

I constantly have to go through this crap every week….

Perhaps I should use black mail as a tool to stop it. Feel free to call the FBI, they are terrified of me and the information I have taken from some ones computer…..They should consider a fair compensation plan….

"For a job I would not accept anyway."

Sounds like he wasted your time and should compensate you.

We get these types of responses from time to time from candidates for the call center type jobs but that is understandable when you have 20k+ applicants per year. Those are 10-12 dollar an hour and much less skills talent.

This was from someone who would probably clear 70k or more.

What is the job? That's the most bizarre response I have ever seen for something like this, but I'm not in HR.

Inside Sales managing a portfolio that consists of doctors offices, cosmetic surgeons, chiropractors, orthodontists and the like.

Ok, I understand now. That's definitely a CIA front. My father was a dentist and after he retired he admitted that his practice was actually a CIA front.

I hope my dentist never retires. I really like the job he's done. Its going to blow trying to find a new dentist I like.
Seriously. For the first time in my life I not only have to get dental insurance but I also have to find a dentist.

Triple whammy, you'll probably wind up need something major done like an implant. Here's hoping for the best ... for both of our dental futures.

I've never worked in a company that employed men in the HR department. Congrats on breaking through.
lol. Yes, very female dominated. The recruiting environment of HR levels the playing field some.

I lead a team of 51, of which 11 are male.

You should respond that you have another position available for the CIA Liason position and thought he might be interested.

Why did you contact him if he did not apply? Trying to load up on a cheap sales force?

How many of the 11 are gay?

Our recruiters are always mining resumes and contacting candidates. Basically I have a team of 7 that act as our own in house head hunting agency.

All married with kids except 2. One of those 2 are married.

That leaves just the one. ....hmm

I'll ask him tomorrow.

The CIA is a fortune 100 company?
Shouldn't be so surprising, they've moved a lot of heroin, cocaine and guns over the years.

Edit: Probably tough to sell these from an Inside Sales position though, these deals are traditionally done in person. Maybe that's why he wasn't interested?
