[Nightly Mistake]

I figured I'd just start a general thread about safeties, something that I'm trying to make sense of.

I started by asking in the other thread about Stuckey and Bloom said that Gregory's the guy to have and won't lose his starting job any time soon. I just wanted to include that here.

Does anyone know what's up with Dawkins' slow start? He's not awful, but he's certainly not a top IDP S right now either.

How secure is C.C. Brown's starting job as the Detroit SS? Is he going to lose his job to Phillips this year?

Is what we're seeing from Donte Whitner about as good as it's going to get from him?

in a related note, the jags have signed S gerald alexander. i think considine or greene are going to the bench after all. alexander might be of some value.

re: CC Brown..... Man, I hope he loses his job and quickly. He makes a lot of mistakes and when he does, they are costly. Last week he's the one with the blown assignment on Percy Harvin's wideopen TD and of course he is the one who missed the tackle on Peterson's 80yard run. But, even besides those things, he's just terrible. I really hope the Lions brass thinks the way I do. At this point having one of the rookies (Phillips or Spievey) make the same mistakes would be better for their learning curve.
