Saints O-Line Injuries- Effect on Jared Cook (1 Viewer)

Will Armstead and Peat out hurt the Saints pass game or run game more? Plus the fullback is out.

Specifically does this put a damper on Jared Cook’s outlook tonight? Will they need a TE to stay in and block more? Or is Cook a really good safety valve?

Obviously I may be wrong.... but I don't think the role of Cook and the Saints TE the way they have used it with Graham, Fleener and now Cook is that of a traditional TE. They're often split out wide or in the slot. As a matter of fact the Saints are more likely to slide a swing G/T in at TE. This is complicated with 2 OL being out so I'm not exactly sure how it will work but I think it will still hold. My bigger concern would be with how Omameh plays at LT and how that might affect Brees. He played well last week but he's pretty much the definition of a journeyman. Otoh there isn't a TE I'd rather have in FF going into the playoffs right now than Cook, and it's possible that Brees may check out to Cook and the RBs even more than he already does.
