So whats the deal with Deuce McAllister getting 11 carries (for 30 yaards) in a fourth and final preason game normally reserved for backups trying to make the final cut? I am not able to watch the game tonight but I saw the Saints last week against the Bengals and Deuce didn't exactly set the world on fire against a below avg. defense. (6 carries for 9 yards) I know it is only preseason....but is DM going to make this roster?

You need to watch the highlights and not worry so much about stats. Deuce had most of that yardage on 3 really nice looking carries where he cut and ran through defenders. He got met behind the line of scrimage a few times because of the blocking not so much because of Deuce and his progress. See if you can watch what he did on those 3 runs and you will see that he has made some nice progress. He will see playing time as the power back.
