Ryan actually had a better passer rating tonight than Brees.
Perfect example of why statistics lie. When the Saints needed it, Drew Brees won the game for them.
There have been many arguments for including wins in the passer ratings formula. Tonight is a good example of why it may help the rating tell the real story.
It may cause Ryan to surpass Brees in passer rating for the season.

I had Turner + Roddy + Brees last night and needed them to overcome a 47pt. deficit (thanks to stupid Aaron Rodgers). I was cautiously optimistic, but only if it was a shootout. This game was exactly what my opponent (my wife) needed. So disappointing to go out that way.

One win better would bump him up that much huh? Frankly with Brees' 21 picks, I'm shocked Ryan isn't already rated higher.

someone explain how the play was a punt on a 4th and 6?
2 timeouts and the 2 minute warning left. Plenty of time. Just have to stop them.
Even if you stop them, you're looking at starting from your own 20-yard line with 1:50 and no timeouts. I'd rather take my chances on 4th down.Heck -- if you go for it and fail, you still have an opportunity to stop them and get the ball back with 1:50 to play.
NFL coaches really need a lesson on how they fail at making the right call in this situation. This is at least the 2nd time this has happened this year and the team bypasses a 4th down opportunity when the difference in field position is negligable.

Hey Falcons fans, still think the Saints can't win in the Georgia Dome?
Hey Saint fans, think the Saints can win out as a Wild card--Not
Do you ever own up to the trash and nonsense you post? Or do you continue without regarding how ridiculous you look and sound? You know, like this gem in this very thread?
Falcons will expose the Saints tonight and show everyone that the Saints were one year wonders. Atlanta 24 Saints 10
I'm curious how an 11-4 team is a "one year wonder". But hey, go ahead and keep up the silliness. You may actually be right for once, "packer fan".

Can't wait till we get Ivory back in the mix. Pretty much unstoppable at that point.
He's got to be totally back, though, and ready to survive his own brutal brand of rushing. I wonder if, right now, his shoulder feels 100% or if it still feels beat up?

I thought he was gonna play last night. Right now, since it appears that he's still obviously banged up, I hope he sits out next week and comes back fresh for the playoffs. The only we'd be able to possibly win three straight games on the road would be to have a running game again. Ivory is key. Props to the FO for always finding these diamonds in the rough.

It's practically a lock now that Ivory sit out against the Bucs. Payton likes to "over-rest" guys and ensure that they at least come back somewhat close to 100%. This is opposed to other teams, who will throw guys back out there at 75% and hope for the best. Looking at the fates of guys like Antonio Gates, and the pay-off that resulted from Payton resting the Saints' DBs last season, Payton's injury strategy looks to be solid.

Same old Gopher State. Sure can dish it out but when the crow eating time comes he is no where to be found. Your words mean about as much this year as they did this time last year. The Saints have proven they can win on the road if need be. If Monday night didn't prove that to you then you are just a hater.
