I just wrote an Excel program that could be an immense help in your auction league.

...that is....in most auction leagues you are limited to the amount you can bid for each player because after the bidding for the current player you must have at least $1 remaining for each emplty slot you have yet to fill on your roster.

In this program you simply start out by entering each team's salary cap..... then enter how much each team spends on each roster spot as they win the bids.

The program tells you how much each team has remaining under their cap and more importantly.....how much they can bid on the player who is currently on the table.

I did the same thing two years ago. Took me a while b/c I'm not really that computer savvy, but I finally got it done and used it at our auction. It helped me remember what max bids were. Then last year, I was playing around with the Draft Dominator, and they have the same function. All that work, and I was already paying for a tool offered by FBGs that did the same thing!
