I love pulling some tomatoes out of my garden, slicing them in fours, add a little salt, then just munching away. num, num, num

Also voted yes for salt on watermelon.

Salt, pepper, a little olive oil, dash of vinegar...even better when mixed with those cucumbers growing on the other side of the garden.

I'm growing 6 varieties of very sweet cherry and grape tomatoes. Salt would be a mistake. I'm also growing some plum, heart and beefsteak tomatoes that all jump in flavor with a little salt. Himalayan pink salt, preferably.

Sea salt and a drizzle of Luger's steak sauce on a thickly sliced tomato from the local farmers market or produce stand is about as good as salad gets, IMO.

I, like most all voters here love a little salt on tomatoes.

My brother is one of the few people I know who prefer to put sugar on sliced tomatoes.

salt and pepper.

another good one is fresh diced cucumber and tomato, add salt/pepper/seasoned rice wine vinegar.

Tomatoes, unlike watermelon, kind of need salt IMO. So yes. But not that mortons table salt crap. Good coarse sea salt. And fresh cracked black pepper.

Slice em up. Also slice up some fresh mozzarella. Sprinkle a little balsamic. Maybe some fresh basil. Finish with some salt.

They throw in some thick slices of some yellow onion at lugers. Oh so good together with the lugers sauce. Insanely overpriced, but oh some yummy. They also have thick slices of bacon which you can combine with the tomato and onion. Heavenly.

White bread, thick cut perfectly ripe summer tomatoes, Mayo, lots of salt and pepper. Best sandwich on earth imo.

Yes to salt.

Yes, but I don't really add salt to where they are salty, just a small pinch and it brings out all the flavor. I could also just eat a tomato out of the garden like an apple.

I harvested from some 100 plants today. I ate two dozen cherry tomatoes and two 1 lb heart tomatoes. They never saw the inside of a building or a grain of salt.

I like to wrap a couple of these in plastic and put them in the fridge. Something good happens when the juices, mayo and salt mingle and chill for a few hours.

Insanely overpriced is right. But it is great and so easily replicated at home for a fraction of the cost, especially if you omit the bacon.
