Sam Huff passes away at age 87 (1 Viewer)

I have some sad news for longtime Giants and Washington fans: One of the greatest linebackers of all-time, Sam Huff, passed away over the weekend at the age of 87.  He recorded 30 interceptions.  He played in 6 NFL title games.  He was a 3-time all-NFL selecion.  He was selected to 5 Pro Bowls.  He was voted to the Hall of Fame in 1982.  If anyone has any memories they'd like to share of Sam Huff, please feel free to share them.

I listened to Sam on the radio doing Redskin games with Sonny Jurgensen and Frank Herzog for many years...miss the three of them together. And it was a pleasure watching him on defense when he was traded from the Giants...clearly the best person for the Skins on that side of the line.

They were a great broadcasting team. They got along well and Sonny would needle Huff and it would go right over his head. Just fun broadcasts.
