I'm in a similar boat.I've got one post season transaction to make, and I've got to use it on a running back. Dayne, Morris, Harris/Cason look to be my best options. I think I'm going with Morris to focus on week 15. I'll worry about the championship game if I get there.Think I saw on fanball that Brown is out this week. I have to pick two between S Morris, Magahee, Dayne, C Houston, or Benson/Jones - most have lousy matchups so pretty sure I'm going to have to go with Sammy Morris - not happy about it though!
If Dayne gets the job done in Week 15, he then gets Indy in week 16. I'd call that some good gravy on a big piece of moist turkey with mashed potatoes and stuffing.yea, i'm faced with a similar dilemma. morris or someone like dayne/cason/harris/griffith to pick up off waivers. i think dayne and morris are both solid starts this week, but i'm not happy about resorting to either one. any TDs those guys get will be gravy on an otherwise dry meal.
I'm in the same boat -- with the KJ injury, I'll be starting Sammy Morris in his place this week.with kevin jones down for the count, i might be starting him. i know brown is out this week, but may be back next. we'll see i guess. but i think morris is a decent start this week. if he can run on the pats, he sure as hell can run on the jets and bills...
He has some decent matchups going forward. I will be starting him over Travis Henry and Marion Barber. What's Brown's status? Is Morris good to start this coming week?how do you guys expect him to fare down the stretch against NY and BUF who give up 140 yards a game?Any additional thoughts?
No, Maroney won't be given much work even if he plays.....Buffalo gives up a ton of rushing yardage, but I'm not sure I'd sit Holt for Morris.Would you start Morris over Dillon this week?
Haha I'm a Dolphins fan too and I'm in the same situation.. leaning towards Morris over Addai but not 100% sureI'm giving Sammy the nod over Addai this week..................
Same dilemna here. Gotta choose between Morris and Dillon. If Maroney is out, then Dillon for sure.I'm actually thinking of benching Holt and starting Morris as my flex this week. (I've got LT and Tatum as my RB1 and RB2 and Chad Johnson and Driver as my WR1 and WR2). With Holt going up against an above-average Oakland secondary, I'm thinking Morris is a safer play to get me >10 fantasy points this week. He's got to be good for at least 60 yards and a TD against the Bills, right?
similar boat, same thought process,,,sitting Chester due to questionable ribs and other good matchups of LJ, Betts, MJD and Morris.I'm running Morris and benching Chester Taylor. Taylor has been upgraded to probable but he has yet to be hit on those tender ribs while in practice this week. I am fearing a good shot to the ribs in the first quarter and he will be drinking Gatorade for the rest of the game.
It's certainly possible. I have to chose between Tatum, Chester and Morris. I already ruled out Chester for the reason you mentioned. I'll accept the loss if I guess wrong there. It just seems too risky. Both Tatum and Morris could be very good. I just think that the Dolphins are playing well and the Bills are due for a letdown after winning last week. The Broncos are on the road and on a losing streak. Not sure Cutler can make the Cards fear the pass enough.Like i said, both could be good. But I don't see Morris laying an egg against Buffalo. But it's the fantasy playoffs-- anything could happen.I'm running Morris and benching Chester Taylor. Taylor has been upgraded to probable but he has yet to be hit on those tender ribs while in practice this week. I am fearing a good shot to the ribs in the first quarter and he will be drinking Gatorade for the rest of the game.
I'm with you on the "not sure" part, particularly since Morris has only a couple of games under his belt and Holt has a MUCH longer track record. That said, I've always leaned towards starting a 20+ carry RB over a WR in the flex spot. Even "stud" WRs like Holt are capable of laying an egg (Holt did it for about 5 straight weeks this year) and RBs just are typically more consistent point producers. This could backfire for me big time but what the heck.....As for Morris v. Dillon, it depends on Maroney. If Maroney sits or is going to be severely limited, I wouldn't hesitate to give Dillon the nod. Will answer yours....Buffalo gives up a ton of rushing yardage, but I'm not sure I'd sit Holt for Morris.Would you start Morris over Dillon this week?
Trying to decide between Morris and Chester. I'm afraid that the first shot to the ribs sends Chester to the sidelines and it becomes the Artose Pinner show again. I think I'm playing it safe and going with Sammy.I am playing Morris in my flex over Andre Johnson, Fargus, Dayne and Berrian. Barring injury, Morris is going to get lots of carries and the matchup is favorable -- might as well give him a shot.
