"[The New York Giants] lose a veteran on the offensive line and a great locker room guy," writes Jones.
The Oakland Raiders made Feliciano (6-4, 325) a fourth-round selection (No. 128 overall) out of Miami (FL) in 2015. He started all 15 of his game appearances in 2022, playing a career-high 973 offensive snaps while allowing three sacks, per Pro Football Focus. Feliciano has played in 97 career games, starting 54.

The 49ers were awarded a seventh-round selection after quarterback C.J. Beathard signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2021 offseason. Here’s the offseason schedule for the 49ers:
First day: April 17
OTAs: May 22-23, May 25, May 30-May 31, June 2, June 5-6, June 8
Mandatory minicamp: June 13-15
There are three phases of the offseason program.
Phase 1 allows for strength and conditioning only with players who haven’t been at the facility rehabbing during the offseason checking in to begin their preparations for the season. This is voluntary.
Phase 2 is when on-field work starts. This on-field portion is limited to individual drills and walk-through practices with offensive players lining up against offensive players with no contact allowed.
The final phase allows for more intensive on-field work, but there still won’t be live contact allowed.
Nothing will be decided for the 49ers during these dates, but this is where the ball gets rolling. The roster battles will begin and we’ll get our first look at the team’s rookies. It will also be a chance for the new coaches like defensive coordinator Steve Wilks and offensive passing game coordinator Klint Kubiak to work with players on and off the field to begin making their mark on this year’s club.
This offseason lacks some of the intrigue of the last two years, but it’s still going to be a fascinating and important couple of months for San Francisco.

Possible, but I’m not sure why they would since they just paid a pretty good one. Gonzalez was expected to be the K for the Panthers right up until his preseason injury. He’s a pretty solid kicker otherwise. Personal I’d rather they didn’t waste a pick.

He missed the whole 2022 season with a groin injury and hasn't kicked in a game since Dec 2021. I wouldn't hand him the job by any means, and I'd bet the farm they sign or draft some competition.
He has a career FG percentage of 80.5%
Hes 95.8% on XP
40/59 (67.7%) on FGs 40+ yards
29/41 (70.7%) on 40-49yds,
11/18 (61%) 50+ yards
His career touchback % is 57.8%.
His longest career FG: 57 yds
For comparison here's Goulds numbers the past 6 years in SF:
Gould has a FG percentage with SF of 87.5%
Hes 96.1% on XP

Gould of course one of the best in the business, but I see Gonzalez a pretty decent step back if they roll with him without making him earn it.

I’d say Gonzalez is equivalent to Gould’s last 2 years, assuming good health.
Might even have deeper range. Gould’s leg faded badly in recent seasons.
You’re probably right that they’ll bring someone in - I just don’t see it as a draft-pick worthy thing unless it’s really late.
Bring in multiple guys and have them compete. Monitor other teams’ camps too.
Butker is an example of a young kicker who had a great camp in CAR but they went with Gano. I think KC got him for a 7th. I’d assume the condition attached to Gonzalez is attached to him making the team so I wouldn’t think they’re bound to him if they find someone better.
Guys like Koo bounced around a bit too. Carlson got cut by the Vikings. No need to determine the position at this time.

Peters is a Bay Area guy and has a major role in personnel decision making. Unless he just wants the GM title, I think he stays in SF. I’m sure the 49ers compensate him generously.
That, and Lynch could leave at any time and I'm sure Peters has been promised the spot when he does.

Frank Gore to join 49ers staff?
The 49ers had a familiar face at a new position throughout the pre-draft process, according to general manager John Lynch.
Future Pro Football Hall of Fame running back and 49ers Hall of Fame inductee Frank Gore was in attendance at the team's local Pro Day. On Monday the general manager revealed that the Bay Area legend participated in more than just the one-day event.
“Frankie G., Frank Gore sat in a lot of meetings,” Lynch said during his pre-2023 NFL Draft availability. “Didn’t say much, but sat back and took a lot of mental notes. And it’s been cool to share the process with him.”
Frank showed an interest in coming in here,” Lynch said. “Somebody made that opportunity available to me years ago, and I was really grateful for it. So, if someone is willing to put the time in, and given as much as he has to the organization, absolutely, we are going to open our arms and I think he learned a lot through the process.”

Brown, this year’s Rose Bowl defensive MVP, arrived in the third round at No. 87 overall, a spot originally held by the Minnesota Vikings.
Selecting a safety makes sense for one of the NFL’s best defenses, in that Brown could pair with All-Pro Talanoa Hufanga as the 49ers’ safety tandem for the foreseeable future. Either this year or later, Brown will look to unseat Tashaun Gipson Sr., who re-signed last month after serving as Hufanga’s veteran wingman last season.

Hate to complain, but hated the pick. Too many good CB prospects still on the board. Like when they could have drafted CJ Gardner-Johnson in 2019 and traded down and ended up taking Wish. Makes no sense to me.
I do think the OL being bad is a bad take. I expect Banks and Burford to be good and Brendel is OK. Frankly I think McKivitz will be as good if not better than Glinch. Still expect them to add a FA depth piece after the draft.
