Santana Moss? (1 Viewer)

I have Jacoby Ford and Garcon as my possible wr#3 from here on out. Santana Moss should be back next week and I could use a #3 just in case Ford is still out. I would have to drop jackie battle to do it. I have Marshaun Lynch and Steven Jackson and Bradshaw on Bench and I think he might be back soo as well. Do I drop battle for him now before other owners jump on Moss for Stretch run?

With Moss back on the field, whats the SP's thoughts on him? Is he worth rostering? Where does everyone see him going forward?

From what I heard moss is ready to try and play this week. With grossman locking onto him wether he is covered or not should give him some chances to produce solid wr3 #s

Tough choice. I've always liked him on my roster but don't really have room to play. Moss has a high floor an low ceiling imo, regular as clockwork and steady as a low 2 high 3.

put in a FAAB claim for him since i have an extra roster spot. worst case, i drop him. best case, i can package him for an upgrade

Moss is #4 WR on y team which i think is about right.. High floor, mod ceiling, and good insurance for your starters

WAS has a very good playoff schedule as well for WR

I like him as a WR3...like his playoff match-ups alot and the fact that he isn't coming back from a leg injury indicates to me that he should produce as soon as he steps back onto the field. Indeed, he'd better as I just traded away all my WR depth to secure him and Demarco Murray for the playoff run. I'm expecting Moss to average 5-65-.4 in the playoffs.

As always, just my opinion.

Battle's got a bad matchup this week so will likely stink up the joint so you can pick him back up if you need to. You really need to roster Moss if you could use another WR.

Brilliant!!!! :excited:
Look just because he gave some details about his team doesn't mean this can't produce general fantasy football discussion. Think "who would you drop for Santana Moss." Similar to the "Who are you starting Kevin Smith over thread."I picked Santana Moss up. But I was dropping Fred Jackson so that was an obvious one. I don't know if he'll hit my starting lineup. It is basically between Garcon, Moss, and Manningham. Manningham and Garcon represent the high risk/reward options, while Moss is the solid contributor. I tend to lean towards throwing one of the high risk/reward type guys in once playoffs roll around.

Personally I'd say identifying a playoff worthy WR3 is pretty important. What are people looking at? Just what the original poster said most likely.GarconFordMossMike Williams TBRiceDamian WilliamsVince Brownetc. On Moss, I'm a little hesitant to start him vs Seattle because of where the game is and also because maybe Gaffney and Davis may keep their role in the offense.... but also because the Skins have really tanked as a team and offense since the last time Moss was playing.

You know this is the reason I am about to give up on this board seems like no one can post anything here without someone telling them there ia a coaches forum (that very few people reply in)to post thread in.Or there is a thread with 400 pages that they could have posted in.Sometimes its nice to see a new thread pop up with some recent news and replys in it.

It's really not a big deal. This is like the most tame smart ### remarks in the history of the Internet.

You're asking if Santana Moss is a good shark move pick up right now. I don't like Moss much other than a PPR format for maybe 8-10 points a game but there is not super upside here IMO.

That's pretty much what I suggested earlier. As a plug in WR3 or flex he's perfect, with a high floor and low ceiling. I've gone back and forth with him over the years depending on how I was using him in my lineups. Last year f'rinstance I was pairing him with Manningham a lot, so I would gain the Manningham hits yet still be insured some against the dips. Tried to set that up this year but--besides the Cruz emergence--didn't realize that Manningham may actually be limited until today or yesterday, so that was an experiment long ended.
