Save two managers from each other? (1 Viewer)

NOTE... THIS IS A 10-TEAM 2-QB LEAGUE

Two teams below, that on paper appear to be tailor made matches for a mutually beneficial trade.
Any ideas you have to actually make something happen for both teams?

Is either of the team managers being too narrow minded with their “restrictions” and/or focus area and maybe missing a good opportunity?

Team A is in 5th place, 3-5, with the league highest season points total so far.
Team A ...
" Will not consider trading away Hurst, Allen, or Kyren"
"Wants a trade that results in a starting roster upgrade, even over developing/maintaining roster depth"
"Views Tue as a potential top top 15, potentially top10 fantasy QB for rest of season"

Team B is in last place, 3-5, with the league lowest season points total so far
Team B...
"Does not want Tua"
"Acknowledges QB and RB as potential areas for upgrade"

Previous discussions to move Derek Henry &/or London for combinations of Tua + Conner, &/or Tua + Conner/Dobbins + Olave/Metcalf have stalled out

Only thing to trade team B has is Henry maybe London in this circumstance. Dont see a trade getting done under those restrictions.

All your iterations listed include Tua but one of the caveats is "does not want Tua". I think the first thing is to take Tua out of the equation. In general, these teams don't mesh well for a trade based on the caveats provided.

Yeah… it took several iterations for both managers to understand the “don’t want Tua” piece.. do you think either manager is being too narrow minded with the restrictions? Accusations… well… they have not been *made* so to speak… lol

I think both are being too narrowminded. You should never completely rule out any player because they all have a price/value at some point. Nothing should be off limits.

I generally agree, but Tua is unique here. He's a great fantasy QB when playing but there is massive risk with him.

I could see why someone doesn't want any part of Tua. Even as a fins fan in dynasty SF league I traded way Tua. I also got burned years ago in 2 dynasty leagues when Luck retired out of nowhere. I'd rather not carry that risk anymore than I have to.

I hear ya.
Its maybe a case then that despite a losing record to date...Team A does not in fact NEED to drive a change as much as they are feeling.
More like, terrible luck to be so strong and keep losing via bad beats... a positive regression is due... trust the system.

And perhaps, team B should be feeling more like "hey, despite not scoring high, league parity has me in the hunt, Henry has the potential to win a week for me all on his own sometimes, and just be super opportunistic if/as/when real life player chaos happens when their real life teams realize their true late-season positions and start benching/promoting folks"...

But the side that currently has Tua (and thinks he is a top 10-15 QB ROY) won't part with his other two QB's at all. If he truly believes in Tua as it appears there is no reason why he can't move one of the other guys.

So while I agree Tua is unique in that some fantasy players don't want him because of the risk that shouldn't be an obstacle in this case because one owner believes in him.

With it being a 2 QB league I would want three starters. It's not even SF where you could put in a player other than QB. I want 3 good starters in a 2 QB league, especially with some byes still coming up.

Sometimes trading with certain people is difficult. I don't know the league/history of these 2 teams. With it being redraft it is even harder to trade I find. No long term value or anything to gain. I think I need to re-read the original post but if I was team A I probably wouldn't trade a QB either.

I would too but in the offers that were put out there the guy with Tua was putting him in the offers so it's not like he was averse to only having 2 QB's. My point is if the guy thinks Tua is top 10-15 AND he is willing to part with Tua to only have 2 QB's then he should be fine parting with one of the other guys to better his team.

That is the truth. I have one guy in my dynasty league that has drastically different valuations of players than I do. You would think that should make for easy trades because the guys I value and the guys he values are so different. But not the case. If I approach him for a player that player immediately jumps up in trade cost but if he makes me an offer I usually accept right away because we differ in valuations. Problem is he rarely initiates trade talks. It has gotten to the point that I rarely ever even try because of the frustration. I sometimes go to a third party and see if I can get them to get the player I am interested in to do an end around.
