I commish a league and I was just informed of the official NFL scoring change of a McNabb TD and a McAllister TD from this past weekend. The McNabb TD is straight forward for making a scoring change in my league because it becomes a passing TD. However, my league does not account for an offensive fumble recovery for a TD, which McAllister's TD was changed to. How should I score this TD? Should McAllister get credit for it?
Important factors:
1. My league does not use individual defensive/special team players, nor does it score individual TD's for punt and kick returns. These are scored as team defensive scores (not the same, but gives an idea of how my league scores individual TDs).
2. Not allowing the TD affects one game, mine, a game I lost but it would become a win without McAllister getting the TD. I am afraid if I don't count it the league will be up in arms for my win (I am chasing a playoff spot) ... however, we do allow commish decisions to be overturned by one person requesting a change and supported by one other person and then a vote, with 6 out of 9 owners (commish excluded) overturning the ruling.
Thoughts?
