As a Bears fan, I like having Harvin (WR) and 2 DEs (Everette Brown & Tyson Jackson) around the Bears draft spot. I know a lot will change with the combines etc, but this is a good start.

Someones paying attention. Rated as the top QB, though barely. Not sure about #4 in talent. But a QB needy team who likes him will have to bite earlier then the grade.
Please please Lions resist the temptation. Has any 1st round underclassman QB other than Big Ben ever been good? And even he played 4 years as a redshirt Junior. I think Rodgers was a Junior too but he's had what 4 years of clipboard holding to get the hang of things.

Roethlisberger only played 3 years in college and 2 in HS at QB. Your point is well-taken regardless.

This Oher guy is all over the board...some like him in the top 5 and Scouts Inc. doesn't even have him in the first round? Or did he not declare? He's a senior right?

That ranking bugs me too. Last year he ws considered a top 10 prospect, this year by all accounts he got better and more aggressive (which was the only knock on him last year) and now he's at the bottom part of the 1st round? :goodposting:

I started to watch a lot of Lions games this year after I acquired Calvin in a keeper league(Guru, Borb, KOTJ, ect - my hats go off to you)

With Sanchez coming out and Bradford staying it looks as if Sanchez has moved to the #2 QB on the board. What is surprising is that only after the Rose Bowl he shot right up to near-Stafford status. To me I see that as Stafford not separating himself, rather than Sanchez sky rocketing up the boards.

In my opinion, for the Lions, taking either of these guys as the #1 overall pick would just continue the trend of bad drafting. If they are desperate for a franchise QB, then Stafford if you must, but I don't see that as a smart move this year. They have proven that any joe, **** or harry can move the offense by throwing it up to Calvin and handing it off to Smith. It was what happened after they gave the ball back that contributed to an AWFUL season.

Why not take the franchise Tackle(smith) or the biggest baddest dude on defense (curry) and use that first pick wisely? If they don't trade they have 3 very early picks. From these scouts rankings they might even be able to get Curry and Oher in the first round.

Now that Bradford has taken his name out of the hat, I agree this is the best way to go for the Lions. Lions should take the BPA at both #1 draft spots.

No Michael Johnson, good for Scouts Inc :) Liking the high ranking of Maybin, dude's an animal. Might be the only scouts to have him over Everette Brown, how high above him is a bit surprising though.

I think someone's going to be disappointed with Vontae Davis when all is said and done.

Surprised they have Cushing that low.

Tyson Jackson is just the type of player an already established franchise will be looking for, steady yet unspectacular.

Laurinitis in round 1? Heyward Bey in round 1? :D

He's not the only one. Sanchez is a #1 overall prospect in some eyes or a second rounder in others. Michael Johnson of GT is top 10 material in some eyes and others view him as a one-dimensional situational pass rusher. The problem is no one should lock in on rankings at all until after the upcoming all star games and especially the combine. That's when a lot of these guys will start being slotted more correctly.

On guys on the radio in detroit here did a junior vs senior comparsion of all first round QB picks since 1995.there were 28 of them.11 of them were juniors and only 2 of those were considered "non-busts"not very good odds.

I will not be surprised if the Lions use all 5 of their first day picks on the defense. It is possible one of those 5 could be an offensive lineman, and it is also possible if one of the top 2 QBs slides to their 20th pick, they could take them. I don't see a QB going first overall though at this very early stage in the process. I will add that things change pretty fast between now and draft day so who knows what will happen. About all I am certain of is defense is going to be stressed heavily on day 1.
