It seems that way. He has 19 solos in his past 2 games which seems to indicate he's definitely picking up the slack left by Lee's absence. And whomever plays Lee's spot on any given week, whether it be Connor,Sims, whoever will not pose much a threat in the way of poaching those tackles. He's a sideline to sideline player with a nose for the ball, so I expect the tackle numbers to remain legit(8-10 Solos + assists/game). I can't imagine he's even close to as good in coverage as Lee, but then Lee is perhaps the best cover LB in football, so that's no surprise. As for how good he is in coverage, I can't really say, other than he's no Lee. I would imagine he'll be good for a couple sacks, a couple FF+FR, and a few PD--should make him a high upside LB2 with potential to be a high end LB1 if he starts flashing some big play ability. Basically I see him as Lee minus the interceptions and with a few less PDs. On a side note, it's such a bummer that Lee's season has been cut short due to injury, and seemingly fluky injuries at that, two years in a row now. Last season he was just coming into his own as a star in this league and this season he was picking up right where he left off. He was right on the verge of becoming a player known not only by us fantasy nerds but by the casual fans--in other words, he was on the brink of superstar-dom It's a shame because the guy is so fun to watch. Here's to hoping he comes back next season ready to play again and stays healthy for many years to come. Aside from Patrick Willis (and maybe Navorro Bowman--so unfair the Niners have them both, and crazy too that their defense, as good as it is, can support two LB1s for fantasy purposes), there isn't another ILB I'd rather have (real NFL, but not far off for fantasy purposes, too). Sorry for the hijack, but Sean Lee has become one of my favorite players and it just really sucks the luck he's had. Back to Carter, the fact that he has drawn comparisons to Lee from the coaching staff bodes very well for him. Some Dallas coaches even feel that Carter has adapted to the NFL game quicker than Lee did and is further along than Lee was at this point in their respective careers. What i can say is, while I'm stoked to see Lee return next season, I think we'll see a bit of a down tick in his production due to Carter's emergence, similar to how Willis's production in SF took a slight hit when Bowman emerged last season. But for Cowboy fans that's a good thing. With Lee and Carter manning the ILB spots for years to come, and Ware on the outside, that D could become pretty special.P.S. Sorry if I rambled, it's because I'm drunk.P.P.S. Also I just realized I didn't really hijack since this thread is titled Sean Lee so talking about him and/or his replacements is okay. So ignore that apology. All I know is I really wish I had Carter on my team right now but I missed out on him in waivers when Lee got hurt. sucks.
