He sure showed that punter.BOOMWho says there's no hitting!!!
He tried to kill that punter.....thats what the punter gets for trying to be a real football playerBOOMWho says there's no hitting!!!
It's the pro bowl and he's a piece of ####.
Isn't the punter also a piece of #### for faking? If the game is just for fun and doesn't matter just punt it away to the other offense and let them perform for the fans. Nobody came to watch the punter runIt's the pro bowl and he's a piece of ####.
I actually think that punter was in the NFL fastest man competition and placed top 5. Wonder if that was a called play? That was a wicked hit.Isn't the punter also a piece of #### for faking? You don't make any sense at all. Regardless of whether he would have made the first down or not, there would still be an offense on the field the next play after for the fans to watch. And I think most people would agree that fake punts/kicks are more exciting than punt and kick returns anyway.Isn't the punter also a piece of #### for faking? This is ridiculous. It was still a FOOTBALL game. If you're afraid to run the ball, then don't run it. The Punter certainly didn't seem to mind the hit, nor did anyone actually playing in the game. Why exactly should you? It's the pro bowl and he's a piece of ####.jerkstore laying out the punter in the Probowl.

Oh I see, you want the excitement of a fake punt but you don't want the opposition to defend against it. Makes perfect sense now. LOL... TOTALLY clean hit.Does anybody remember Sean Taylor getting owned by Greg Jones?
He could of ran out of bounds.
I loved the hit. Taylor might be alot of different things, but a devistating hitter is one of em.
If ya don't know, now ya know.
Notice has been served to the AFC.
Get down, get out of bounds, or expect to be hit as hard as possible no matter who you are. Even if it's just an exibition game.

A) Not the hardest hit he could deliver.B) I wouldn't say the punter jumped up uneffected. He layed on the ground for a few seconds, then jumped up. Plus, as kind of mentioned already, Moorman is a great athlete.at Sean Taylor laying out a punter with the hardest hit he could deliver and the punter jumping up uneffected.

His one punt in the game was for 64 yards. (Too bad Devin Hester was the returner and punt coverage teams are so terrible. He ended up with a 1 yard net punt)![]()
And, yes. Moorman is a very good athlete, and probably the only punter worthy of being called a real football player.

It's funny the amount of ST haters. Don't worry, cause ST won't ever be on your team. The skins will franchise this guy so fast it will make your head spin. He's a complete mess off the field. But on the field, he's a huge play maker. Notice in all the highlights, he's not just throwing himself at people. He wraps up constantly, and not only that, he's extremely good at stripping the ball out. He's one of the best tacklers at his position, not even considering how hard he hits. Roy Williams can't hold Taylors jock. The reason Tiki is retiring is because of Taylor. You can only get your ### handed to you so often in a year before you realize it's not worth it.And the hit took place in the PROBOWL. (I'll let you figure out what that means)On The Rocks said:at Sean Taylor laying out a punter with the hardest hit he could deliver and the punter jumping up uneffected.

Taylor's hit was a pure and clean football play. There was nothing dirty about it what so ever. Everyone on the field appreciated and and seemed to love it. Seems there is a lot of people who can't decipher the difference between real football and fantasy football.... in many senses. There is hitting in real football. It's too bad the NFL and it's fans have allowed themselves to become so commercialized that solid defensive play shunned and constantly deterred by silly rules changes. Those that are commending Taylor are missing the point entirely! This game has a gentleman's agreement that the players let up on both sides of the ball. The only two who didn't get IT were T. Suggs and S. Taylor.Do you guys really think with all of these great athletes, that there were only a couple of chances to lay the wood during the game.Taylor and Suggs are blockheads. What satisfaction does one get from laying out the GD punter?I'm sure those of you who liked that hit would also clamor for a pitcher to throw at someone's head during the All Star game or for someone to take a hard foul during the NBA All Star game?!These are exhibitions and the idiots are exposed just so the idiots on ESPN can hav something to talk about! If you look fast, I'm sure there is a train wreck somewhere near you to go watch!

That's all fine and good until your favorite team loses a franchise player in an exhibition game. People already complain about the preseason being too long and causing too many injuries. Guys getting hurt in an exhibition game AFTER the season would be even dumber. They just should name the Pro-Bowl teams and then have competitions like longest punt, most weight lifting reps, races, etc. Nobody cares about the game and nobody would care about it if guys played harder either.Personaly I'd much rather have everyone else in the All-Star/Pro Bowl games play a bit harder, and play show some more passion for the game. Sorry, I was a little too harsh with that. I guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I just can't stand people defending that hit. It was one of the dirtiest things I have seen in a while. I know it was just a punter but imagine if Sean Taylor put one of his "big hits" on Peyton Manning and he got a serious injury. Now Peyton career could be damaged because of a hit he recieved in the Pro Bowl. It's not what the game is about. The man was licking his chops when he saw the little punter running at him and he delivered the biggest hit he could at the time. What if he hit him a little lower and he broke his leg? And if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. If you don't want your punter to get hit don't run a fake punt...it's as simple as that. I'm guessing Moorman would've lowered his shoulder on Taylor if given the chance. Taylor didn't give him the chance. I'll defend the hit all day long. If you strap on a helmet, you're going to get hit. When you "let up" on tackles, that is when the injuries occur. That was a good clean hit by a guy with a reputation as a dirty player. So I can understand your confusion. You pretty much summed it all up right there, Pipes. Several people have made up their minds months or years ago that they don't like Taylor and it's just that simple. I'm sure if someone like LT had run someone over in the game, these same people would be talking about how awsome a player he was or what a great competitor or some other silly angle. The hit was clean, the players on the field and even the player who took it all had no problem with it. Clean hits are part of football, even the Pro Bowl. GB the holier than thou message board critiques.Funny thing is none of the commentators or players seemed to have a problem with this hit...just a few people on a message board do.
If that's not what the game is about then maybe these other players you like defending so much should consider getting out of bounds or sliding down to avoid the hits in the 1st place. Oh wait, I'm guessing this approach of taking it easy only applies when the player is on defense and a guy you don't already like....I know it was just a punter but imagine if Sean Taylor put one of his "big hits" on Peyton Manning and he got a serious injury. Now Peyton career could be damaged because of a hit he recieved in the Pro Bowl. It's not what the game is about.

Taylor is by no means a model of class. This incident was not dirty. Help me recall exactly where Taylor was penalized on that play or what rule he broke?Jurb, why do you think they change the rules for the Pro Bowl?
That's just plain ignorant, and insulting to those HOF'ers. Taylor is by no means the best at his position current day, let alone all-time like the guys you bring in here. He gets way too many 15 yd penalities chasing the big hits, which extend drives and give the opponents better field position. He isn't exactly the best in coverage either.
