please let this give forsett a chance....
May come sooner rather than later given the mediocrity ahead of him on the depth chart.
this is what i am hoping for. truly.
I think you'll see Duckett more than Forsett. He's still not playable yet.
i know they would have to be pretty desperate for Forsett to get the nod. however, neither duckett nor jones were very impressive in the preseason. it could be a week 10 situation and i'd be fine with that. i know morris will be back shortly but it'd be great to see how he could perform in a meaningful game.

I've been catching information on the return of the Seattle starting receivers (Engram and Branch), but haven't seen anything on Morris returning week 5. Will be interesting to see if Jones now has a stranglehold on the position.

Will Morris still get the chance to share the load? Or has Jones just been too good the past two weeks?

I doubt he has a stranglehold, but I bet they ride the hot hand and see if he can continue to handle the bulk of the work and still perform well before going back to RBBC.

This is my thinking too. I think Morris gets touches and performs on similar level as Jones in any given game. If Jones continues to post great stats I won't mind at all. Would like to see Morris do well, but not at the expense of the team's success.

Funny we haven't seen Switz in this thread for a while. I wonder why that is?
Because it hasn't seem the front page since September 9th? Just a guess. Please do share your speculation.

Been on the front page a couple of days now. Still no Switz to come in and bash JJ. It's not like the guy takes 2 days off in a row....

I bumped this thread last night myself. Its been a bit over 12 hours. What are you saying with your comment? Is a must to reply in every thread where you make a statement/prediction within 12 hours of a thread being on the front page? Does he owe you a pound of flesh for possibly being wrong. Is he wrong? Its only been 3 games. Can't we at least let the season play out first before we start with the "I told you so" posturing and chest thumping?

Sounds like you found Switz, under the alias "Enforcer"?

Sounds like you found Switz, under the alias "Enforcer"?
Yes, my response was pretty curt, but it gets frustrating when people would rather give attitude instead of informed opinions. What's the point?I haven't even looked back to see what Switz said in this thread. Does it matter?

Are you new here? Or just a Switz alias defending his stance?

Are you new here?
New? No, but its sort of disappointing that you drop to elementary school tactics as a defense. "We'll, he did it too".
Or just a Switz alias defending his stance?
The more you try to defend yourself in a situation like this it just looks worse and worse. Is there a proper defense for immaturity? Probably not. Do as you will.

Mo Morris is not likely to play in Sunday's game. Of all the players coming back, he has made the least progress, Holmgren said. Which is probably good since the running game is on a roll right now.

Looks like Morris is still iffy for next week, but long term the team still plans to rotate him with Jones.

Q: RicO was wondering about Maurice Morris, and what happened to him in practice on Monday.

A: Morris did not practice, but is expected to be on the field tomorrow when the players return from their off day. Morris has not played since spraining a knee in the season opener, which has allowed Julius Jones to step in as the starter and take advantage of the opportunity the past two games.

As productive as Jones has been, the coaches still plan to use both backs because they don't want the undersized duo wearing down as the season progresses. As Morris put it prior to the opener, "It is a long season. So it's better to have two fresh backs than one broken-down back."

How this co-starter, job-sharing approach will work remains to be seen. Because Morris was hurt in the opener, they have yet to both backs available for an entire game. But Holmgren has said that Morris will step into the role Duckett served against the Rams, with Duckett returning to his short-yardage/goal-line duty.
