SEC Backs? What's their future (1 Viewer)

The best back in the SEC last year is still there at Bama. That being said, Tate, Hardesty, McCluster & Dixon are were all tough, durable and productive. I have seen all these kids play multiple games. Here is my take.

1. Tate seems to be in a good situation and fits the Texan scheme. I think he will produce but likely will be on the bench on 3rd downs.

2. McCluster will be a productive player in ppr and in leagues with return yardage. However, he played more snaps at Wr and RB at Ole Miss and I fear MFL ( if you use them) may show him as wr.

3. Hardesty is the one I can't project. I don't think he is quite as gifted as the 2 above though his combine helped a lot. Tate, McCluster and Dixon were productive over several years. I did not think Hardesty was. However, it was in a pro style offense where he woke up in 2009.

4. Dixon grew up in my area and is a tough kid. He is a little limited athletically but produced against SEC defenses for 4 years surrounded with very little talent. I think he will be Gore's primary back-up and fill in okay for the 2-3 games Gore seems to miss each year. He is better than Coffee who was a one hit wonder like Hardesty.

THoughts.
