Sell HIGH on Westbrook. Now. (1 Viewer)

Westbrook has been really solid so far, against the power house Texans, 49ers and a Giants team team that hasnt stopped anyone on defense.

The beauty is, he doesnt play a decent defense for a while. The hapless Packers this week. The Cowboys the next week, who have been decent, but not nearly as good against the run as was expected and then the Saints and Bucs who he will run all over.

A tough game against the jags, and then a bye to get healthy, then he has the Redskins, Titans and Colts. None of which stop the run worth a crap. Then the Panthers, and a tour of the NFC East again.

If Westy stays healthy, there is a good chance that with this schedule, he will be the #1 fantasy back in the league. No way I would trade this guy if i owned him, I would probably give up any one in the league except LT for him.

I am thinking 1200 yards rushing, 70 receptions, 800 yards receiving and 12-15 combined TD.
He's already got 5 in the first 3 games, albeit that was above average, I still see him up around 20 TD's for the year, I'm riding this one out baby! Woo Hoo, Go westy!!

You can probably get any player out there right now short of LT for westbrook.Do it and don't look back. We all know his history and if you hold onto him too long you will get burned.Remember, it wasn't even a given that he was going to play week 3.Remember a cardinal rule of FFL - do not get too attached to any player on your team. Yes, he's carried you so far but sell now as high as you can...
I held onto LT too long last year. He killed me in the playoffs. Of course I wouldn't have been there in the first place if he wasn't on my team.

Someone explain to me why you would EVER "sell" your best player? Unless you get like four or five studs in exchange or something.
because "3 weeks does not a season make"... as Yoda sayswhere was Bwest down the stretch last year when owners needed him most? The guy just can't be relied on to stay healthy.... period
Ever hear of LaDainian Tomlinson ? Guess how many TDs he had in the last 5 games of the 05 season ? Then Guess how many 100 yard games
yea... had him on my roster last seaon... lost in the 1st rnd of the playoffs because of his woes. He was playing w/ cracked ribs he sustained in a scrum against Oakland... if he had cracked ribs every year (like Westy has foot/knee/leg injuries)... i'd be trying to sell him high tooLMAO... i can't believe i even bothered to reply to you... you just compared Brian Westbrook to Ladanian Tomlinsonwhoooolenubbalevvoool
I just asked if you knew about a back who didnt come up big at the end of a season when owners needed him most. (I read that somewhere) Oh yeah, Tomlinson in his last three games of '04 - 2 TDs & 0 100 Yard Games. Should we sell high on Tomlinson ?
Tiki was great down the stretch last yearand Tomlinson was at least on the field the last 3 weeks of the season... where was Westy?LT was drafted in the top 3 of every league... Westbrook probably escaped the 1st round in many leagues because he's not durable enough to handle the load of 16 gamesand no i wouldn't sell high on Tomlinson... i don't think his value is near it's peak this season... but i sure do wish i would have dished him off for Rudi Johnson last year after week 9... i coulda probably got C. Chambers in the deal tooevery player is expendable

It's worse that Tomlinson was on the field and not producing. When Westy went down last year, I put Ricky Williams in his place and won a championship over the guy who was playing LT every week and dealing with his terrible performance.

Ahhh someone who gets it !!

To the first several posters who dismissed this outright with their know-it-all-attitude.

Enjoy the egg on your faces guys.
