Selvin Young (1 Viewer)

Steel Town

Maybe I am the only one hanging onto this guy....but is it fair to say his chances are gone. If Pittman is to give up carries, I am guessing it will be to Torain, not Young. Even when healthy, the guy didn't get more than 8-10 carries a game, and did squat with them.

Is anyone hanging onto him? If so, why?

I would say that his chances have actually improved thanks to Hall's 2 lost fumbles. Young has positioned himself as the primary backup, and his YPC is still superior to Pittman's.

Torian is still more myth than reality.

This is Denver we're talking about, so realistically any of the 4 RBs there could end up getting the bulk of the carries & we wouldn't be surprised.

I'd say Young is a better bet than Hall to see time, but he's still definitely behind Pittman & Torain. I'd only keep Young if you have deep rosters. If guys like Kevin Smith, Fargas, or Torain are on the waiver wire, dump Selvin now.

I've dropped him in 4 leagues in the last 10 days and he was only picked up in a 16 team league by a guy dumping Maroney.

I want to believe, but between Pittman and Torrain, too long a shot with the man who wanted to run for 2000 yards.

It remains to be seen whether Torain can make an impact, but for now, it seems to me like Young is an easy drop to make.

I dumped him this week for a bye-week K. I had Young, Hall, and Torain on my roster at the start of the season and it was Pittman who emerged as the Den RB. Fun, fun.

um 6+ yards per carry? The only thing that you can say about Young is that he has not been given the chance to see what he could do with 20 carries - and that his injury was about the worst timing possible. He may very well be behind Pittman and Torain - but it's not because of performance. I'm hanging onto him but only because I don't believe the Torain hype and Pittman has a history of injuries too - But if there was someone worth dropping him for I would consider it.
