Senator-elect James Webb...goes to the White House. (1 Viewer)

I like how he quits the race and now he's generating interest.
He'll fade back into the woodwork soon enough. As far as I can tell the debate didn't help his fundraising at all. His performance seemed to turn most people off. As mentioned we already havea center right candidate running in Hillary. So for Democrats he doesn't offer much. I don't think, given polling I've seen, that independents are really going to embrace him given the policy issues I've already outlined. And Republicans won't touch him as he is a traitor to them. Not sure who he thinks is going to vote for him really. I am sure there are a few but not enough to keep him relevant for another year.

I don't get the appeal of this guy. He's uninteresting in nearly every way.
Fun fact 1: he jumped on a hand grenade to save his fellow soldier, then he managed to kill the guy who threw the hand grenade and then 40 years later he brings that up in a presidential debate while wearing a shirt collar bought at the JC Penny's young men's department.

Hillary is not center right...right of Warren and Sanders, yes. But she will be change her view, and maybe her accent, depending on the audience.

The fact that we have to debate what Hillary believes and will do just shows what we're dealing with. Hillary will do what she wants. The leading candidate for the Democratic nomination closed by saying the Iranians among a long list of others are her enemies. Thats raw right wing red meat. Is anyone even paying attention?

Yes it was definitely meant for the right wing. Polling suggests 70% of Democrats support the deal. 60% of Independents support the deal. 70% of Republicans are against it. I personally fear she will get us into another war so she can prove how tough she is.

Looks like Jim Webb may not actually be done yet.

Webb Attacks Clinton With Eye on Independent Run If he declared an outsider presidential bid, the former Democratic candidate could have an outsize effect on the race.

...

Since dropping out of the race for the Democratic nomination, Webb has continued to maintain his Webb2016 website, which he has updated with posts about the possibilities of an independent run. On Twitter, he and his fans have been promoting a #WebbNation hashtag.

A run by Webb, who often manages his own social media accounts and has also used them recently to promote a petition in favor of his run and to deliver kudos to Bernie Sanders in his battles with the Democratic National Committee (“nothing more than an arm for the Clinton campaign,” Webb tweeted), could further complicate the already unpredictable 2016 election.

While observers typically have analyzed the prospect of a third-party or independent run by Republican front-runner Donald Trump—or even one from Sanders—Webb could still alter the dynamics of the race even with his smaller profile.

A recent CNN poll, for instance, forecast tight races between Clinton and several Republican contenders in hypothetical match-ups for the general election. Webb’s campaign has told Bloomberg Politics it would concentrate on mobilizing voters in the ideological middle, along with people who have become dissatisfied with politics.

Webb would be way more competent than any of the bozos running on the right and on the left kills Hillary when it comes to genuineness.

I agree...I really like him...I'm just flummoxed by how lackluster his campaign was and by his poor debate performance....
