Serious Biz Dynasty - Eephus is year 18 champion - League is full for 2026 (9 Viewers)

Dermis and Rondon were both born in 1998. I was 23 and still hazing pledges in 98. I suspect neither will sniff the majors for five years at least.

They don't need to in this league though the way some of you value prospects. They can just get into a top 50 prospect list and be traded for an actual top 50 player.

This league is tough. That's what makes it so fun. The rebuilding teams do a great job of stocking up on the top prospects, leaving the pool shallow. I'd bet that of most top-100 prospect lists, 85 are rostered in this league. So now you have to do some speculating and get in on them sooner, often sooner than you'd like. But if you don't, you lose out on that potential...and like NV said, that bargaining chip.

So is too early for Dermis or Rondon or Devers or Guerrero? Maybe. Maybe not.

Plus, sometimes, it's just fun to follow someone like that with a rooting interest.

Hoos probably beat me on the Tulo Wainwright deal, but that was the market and it seems that talks fall apart whenever I counter. I am thinking Wainwright is close to the end mileage wise so it wasn't bad. Losing Tulo was a bit tough but I like the Joc.

As my uber counterparts will confirm, I love my prospects. This league brings it to a much higher prospect plain though.

Hell Toupee is waiting to see the orthodontist's report on his draft pick to see if he's going to need braces.

The first year I was in this league it was easier to get prospects. I kinda took that for granted and gave all my great ones away cheap. Then boubucarow came on board and things changed.

But I do like the :nerd: excitement of finding some little-known kid and convincing yourself he's going to be a Hall of Famer someday... then 2 years later tossing him back in the waiver pool for your next great discovery.

Except I toss them back in two weeks Spartan, but yeah. Its fun. Double D, I did once hang out in a dugout with Dan Duquette at his camp in Mass. Weird dude but nice.

:nerd: I once coached a playoff football game against against Duquette

Actually I hope not since I don't have him anymore.

I was in an OOTP league years ago(with Tre and some other FBGs) and drafted Snider. WAY early, was always very high on him. That pretty much epitomizes my prospect evaluation acumen.

I don't know what could have changed in the past few days for one of the new teams to need an add/drop. If so, here's the order:

Dr. Detroit/Chem X
Kraft
Arsenal of Doom

Pass the pipe if you don't need to make a pick.

Once that's through, I'll schedule the waivers run and open up transactions.

Waivers will run around 2AM EDT on Wednesday March 11. Sorry, I would have liked to move the time to a more neutral time of day but CBS only runs waivers at 2AM. The waivers order carries over from the end of last season with the new teams tacked on the end.

After this initial run, the entire player pool will revert to FCFS for the remainder of the season. The only other times waivers will come into play is following a two-day period after a player is dropped by another team.

If you want to pick a player not in CBS, just post your add/drop here and I'll process it manually.

FCFS mayhem? Seems unpossible.
There were ~500 transactions last year, 23 took place in the first day after transactions were opened up. Pik went a bit bonkers though.
I  PIk

Not sure I would have ever left this league knowing what I know about PIK now. Even if you're the commish.
I'm the only one with enough patience to deal with the CBS commissioner tools
I'm vice commish in my home league, this skin/options change sucks.
