Serious Biz Dynasty Year 18 - Happy Brayan Bello Week to all who celebrate (2 Viewers)

You have a set of brass balls after caterwauling over my trade
At least he actually got two rated prospects and a first. You picked up those two pitchers over the last 45 days, Houck is at best a #5 starter in a 40 team league.

I imagine you just sent that ####ty offer trying to PIK him. Well played, mitt.

1st offf- “trying to PIK him”. :lmao:   :lmao:

I loved both SPs I moved. Right now Houck is the 2nd best Red Sox starter. Amazing poise, has 2 plus pitches and working on the 3rd.
Jake Eder , sky is the limit . Only one other Marling minor league pitcher I’d want and it’s not Meyer. I do like Meyer’s arm but not his short stature , but he’s in the best organization for pitching.

I'm not trying to piss anyone off. My team is mediocre, I knew a rebuild was coming when I took it over.

If people don't like the way I'm going about this, I can step away

I think Baty & Meyer and his 1 was a decent haul. Both prospects are excelling and getting close .

A similar question came up earlier via PM.  I don't think it would be good to allow trading of future competitive balance picks because of (a) the bookkeeping and (b) the risk of somebody bailing and leaving the next owner without assets for the rebuild.

That said, I don't see a problem with trading of picks _after_ the protected lists are finalized.  The picks are effectively another protected roster slot once they're made so trading them for a protected player wouldn't give a roster size advantage to either party.  Any trades involving picks would have to involve an equal number of protected and/or draft slots going in both directions so the trade wouldn't circumvent the 25 man roster plus 4 pick limits.

This has been the rule for 2 1/2 years

FWIW, the trades aren’t why I’m out. Dynasty value is always a guessing game and what looks like a bad deal today might be a steal in a year. Look at my transaction history, I have no room to criticize anyone.

I’m out because I haven’t enjoyed this league since my 2018 collapse. Finally winning one has become an unhealthy obsession and I need to get away from it. Frustration over the best teams getting better and the Laureano suspension made me post it, but it was happening eventually either way.

I don't see Matthew Fraizer (Pirates) in the CBS database. Unless he's already owned, I'm picking him up and will drop Raleigh.

I love that my ace (Robby Ray) is a guy I’ve had forever, but gave up and left him unprotected.

That’s this league. So many mistakes like Giolito and Bellinger, but the Robbie Rays and the finding Ronald Acuna when he was 1% owned totally even it out.

@Spartans Rule this is the league, you’re staying. I’m gonna drive to West Michigan to negotiate you staying in person. Don’t expect a handjob, but it’s not out of the question.

I’ll stick around. Worst case I can take on a partner or something, can revisit that in February.

Open to some deadline trading if anyone is interested. Plenty of young talent available, looking for impact vets for the next couple seasons.

Matt Brash (P, Mariners) does not appear to be in the CBS player pool. I would like to add him. I will drop Matt Fraizer to make room.

🚨CBS player not in the database transaction 🚨

I want to pickup Dustin Harris 1b Texas and drop JD Davis

I’m still coming out to see you. I’ll send you a pm after baseball season.

As it was from day 1 of this season, Cheese has us right where he wants us.

My pitching is dying a slow death, so sad.

Looks like it's going down to the wire this year.

Offseason rosters will lock for add/drops on the first day of the Divisional Series (next Thurs Oct 7).  Offseason trades are still allowed.

:towelwave:

Five year plan in year six years (although does last year count?) makes this one of my all-time favorite championships. I was an original member, then came back, and it’s easily my favorite team.

Thanks to all who didn’t grab Robbie Ray in the spring draft, to whomever dropped Jorge Polanco, and to Marcus Semien (an original team member) who just mashed this year.

This has to be the worst pitching staff to ever win this league. I basically had Lynn, Kershaw, and Ray with 2/3 of Kimbrel. The rest was cut, paste, and hope.
