When do we do the protected lists and draft?  Tia.

And is someone able to save all of our old stats from CBS before we move?  We should have it for historical perspective?

I'll go in after Fantrax does whatever they're doing and screenshot all the previous years' standings.

CBS system changes a few years ago messed up historical transactions for inactive players so they're probably not worth salvaging.

 
Can somebody pls confirm they received the league invite email?  I didn't send one to myself because I was already in the league.  TIA

 
It sounds like there will be a three or four week ramp-up after a CBA is agreed to before the start of the regular season. That should give us plenty of time to do the mini-draft and pre-season waivers run.   We could do the off-season business now but there would be more unknowns about free agents, season length, etc.

We've posted protected lists in the thread in the past.  I'll put a Google Sheet together once the keepers start coming in.

Fantrax makes it a lot easier to download rosters than CBS does.

Next steps:

  1. Protect 25 keepers by Sunday March 20.  Remainder will be unprotected for competitive balance draft.
  2. Four round competitive balance draft in reverse order of 2021 standings (Non-snake).  Each team can only lose three unprotected players.
  3. Process any necessary drops to get all teams back to 40 man rosters
  4. Annual waivers cycle using waivers order carried over from last year.
  5. Open transactions (FCFS) for the remainder of the season
  6. Spartans Rule is holding the funds again this year (I think)
 
We're keeping Saves as a scoring category for 2022 but will transition to Saves+Holds next season.  SVH will be tracked in Fantrax this season for planning purposes but will not be scored.

Dr. Detroit, Eephus and HellToupee are rolled in from last year's winnings, and RnR's fee will come out of my PieLeeg entry.

Also a quick question for our commish... have position requirements changed with the switch to Fantrax? I noticed Chris Taylor lost 3B eligibility in the move.

Good catch.  Fantrax position eligibility default is 20 games from last year.  I've updated league to match the CBS setting of 10 plus 5 games for this season.

I think the league settings are correct now until I screw up waivers.

I copied the CBS league history over to Fantrax and the past five years of transactions to a Google doc. The info is available from the Fantrax league homepage under the "other" dropdown.

The CBS database inserts "unlisted player" for guys who aren't in their current player database so it got increasingly pointless to export all historical transactions. Even so, there were over 3000 transactions for the years 2017-2021.
