Shark move or Overcoaching (1 Viewer)

First rule of fight club is.....

First rule of FF is "Start your studs"

Second rule of FF is "if you have no studs, ride the hot hand"

Third rule of FF is "factor in your matchups"

Fourth rule of FF is "If you're down to the fourth rule you've overcoached your way to a loss"

So, with late season injuries, some juicy matchups, and victory in the balance what are some of your Shark moves for Championship week.

1) Starting both DWill and JStew (CJ1K and Beanie on the bench). Love the matchup at home against TB, both healthy and I can see a TD for each. (Total overcoach)

2) Benching GB DEF and starting a KC DEF that is facing my opponents QB Palmer so I can double dip on INTs (Shark move)

What are you boldly doing with Championship on the line?

Going with Chris Johnson over Beanie Wells for my # 3 RB.

Starting Mike Williams (TB) over Greg Little for my #3 WR since Boldin is out.

Starting Lynch as my #2 RB. I will go down with my studs.

Benching Lynch for Mendenhall

Benching Stevie Johnson for Santonio Holmes (at least right now).

Steven Jackson over Jason Witten in the flex position.

Ok, starting ADP over Bell. Just have to. Done.

Robinson vs Moss. Neither a stud be.

Second rule of FF is "if you have no studs, ride the hot hand"

Robinson vs Moss.

Both are playing prettyy damn well right now.

Third rule of FF is "factor in your matchups"

That would be Moss vs MIN.

You know what that was very helpful.

Thanks.

Also:

Seattle DST over Ten & Hou.

And:

kicker decisions: Gano, Nugent, Suisham. Going with Gano.

Side note, my opponent has blocked me by picking up Hanson, Novak, Rackers and Bironas. But I think I was going with one of the above 3 all along which is kind of funny.

@ WR - starting demaryius thomas over Nate W and mwTB (easy call imo)

@ flex - starting kahlil bell over Nate W

-biz-

Starting Spiller and Sproles while sitting Chris Johnson.

Rolling with Palmer over Flacco.

Starting Santonio over Steve J.

In a league where TEs are NOT mandatory (but do get full PPR), I'm sticking w/ my "studs" Brady/Megatron/Steve Smith/Hernandez (FLEX). I don't really have any "stud" RBs...my gut tells me to roll the dice w/ Dwill vs. Tampa, but my head says roll w/ Greene vs. NYG & McGahee @ Buff. I KNOW DWill is gonna outscore one (or even both) of Greene/McGahee, but no idea which one, so I'm gonna stick w/ both guys who are likely to have 15 touches minimum, assuming health.

MY biggest decision is on D. Starting Mayo, Poz, D. Johnson and Barnett with Weatherspoon, DJ. Williams and Orakapo on bench in fairly sack heavy league. 1 to 4.

Starting Aaron Hernandez over Jordy Nelson.

My opponent has Brady and the Bears D/ST.

So I figure Hernandez could offset Brady and even if Nelson has a big game, it's still helps me by hurting his defense.

Reeling over this one. Love the Moss matchup. Love the last three weeks Harvin and Demaryius have. Got Dez but don't trust the spread out targets anymore.

Brain says Moss, Heart says Demaryius, Pros say Harvin.

What i like about Dez is that he's always a red-zone threat.Even w/reduced targets he scores.Add in an injured Asante and a red hot Romo, and it would be tough to bench him w/out clear upgrades imo.

Im starting Nicks regardless but Im thinking about starting Wallace over Jordy & Benson just cuz of gut feeling

May pick up Bell and start over CJ2K and JStew (DMac and Murray both out) - feels dirty to pick up a RB to start in Championship Game

Deciding between Nicks and Harvin - leaning Nicks

DeAngelo over Bell in another league - really like DeAngelo's matchup

D. Thomas over Antonio Brown in a ppr due to Batch variable and early Pitt lead means lots of Mendy

Starting Santana Moss over Hillis and Demaryius Thomas in my flex. A guy with Santa in his name has to come through tomorrow, right? Right?

Sea D over Cinci D

Sounds like alot of us are counting on Moss and Sea to come through. Good luck to everyone.

Stafford over Rodgers- higher floor for Stafford

Turner & Holmes over Dez in PPR- every week an adventure when you have a group of #2 type RB's & WR's to choose from.

A real Fuster Cluck with a 14 team championship game, need 3 of this mess- Morris (if Felix is out), Ricky Williams, Driver, Doug Baldwin or Obomanu if Baldwin is out, Roy Williams, Danario Alexander

I kept then started Dez Bryant all year, except when injured.

I'm itching to get Torrie Smith into my line-up over Bryant.

Ryan

Peterson, Gore

Welker, S. Smith, Dez Bryant or T. Smith.

Bailey

Lions, Broncos or Panthers

I've got six defenses that are mediocre at best and I can't trust any of them.

Lions, Broncos, Panthers, Falcons, Dolphins, Cardinals

First rule of FF is "Start your studs"

Holding out hope that V.Jackson can go, when I could just start Demaryius Thomas or Aaron Hernandez. But they have the early games. Picked up Bell for insurance though. If I had big nuts I would start Bell over V.Jackson regardless, but I think I'll follow the first rule.

Second rule of FF is "if you have no studs, ride the hot hand"

I guess I'm in clear violation of this since I'll be starting Spiller over Thomas and Hernandez (WR's and TE's get .5 PPR). The latter two have done well lately.

Third rule of FF is "factor in your matchups"

Starting Mendenhall even though he has been a bum most of the year.

Went with Moss--can't pass up the matchup at home. We get to call last minute injury replacements and for that it's Demaryius in another great match. Harvin's numbers have fallen with AP back, and with Dez in the kicking game and a full complement I can't handle the low floor. I'll get Romo's points anyway. Going up against Rodgers, Gore, R Bush, and Roddy White headlining the #1 team this year so we'll be hanging on the edge of our seats all weekend!! :banned:

Thanks to a massive rash of injuries, I don't really have a lot of crazy moves I can plays I can make as I'm just starting the surviving members of my team. I guess the toughest one is starting Michael Crabtree over Felix Jones (if he plays). I will be starting Sammy Morris over Crabtree if Jones is out.

Still debating but going with Aaron Hernandez over Antonio Brown at Flex. I already am starting Gronk at TE. I hate starting both but with Ben not starting at QB, I need to go with Hernandez.

2 PPR league

Kevin Smith and Steven Jackson over Chris Johnson

Demaryius Thomas and Santonio Holmes over Antonio Brown

Deciding between Helu or D Thomas in the flex. It would be much easier if Helu was healthy. At this point I am still riding Helu. I dont think Thomas will need to put up big numbers against a BUF team that sucks against the run

Starting Demaryius Thomas over Stevie Johnson - not liking Stevie facing Champ.
I've got the same situation but I'm going with Stevie. My gut just says Denver isn't going to be passing a lot this week and the last time I sat Stevie was because he ws vs Revis @ NYJ and we know how that turned out. I'm just gonna ride the horse that brought me.

I started my stud in Blount last week, playing for third place this week. I would of won if I played P. Thomas over Damian Williams though, guess I over-thought that one.

Only tough call is DeA Williams over Jordy. If the Packers have nothing to play for (SF loss), do the Packers play it close to the vest? Shut down Jordy completely to avoid injury? Helu injury really hurt here.

Also have Redman, but starting him over DeA reeks of overcoaching.
