OAKLAND, Calif. -- Gary Sheffield said after today's game that his right arm and right hand has felt numb since he got a cortisone shot in his right shoulder last week in Chicago. Sheffield said he will see a doctor either Thursday or Friday in an attempt to determine what's wrong and what course of action he needs to take.It's possible he could play Friday, but it's also possible he could be out of the lineup for a while.Sheffield missed 2 games last week in Chicago after getting the injection. Since returning, he's 4-for-23 with no RBIs and no extra-base hits.
