Shockey? (1 Viewer)

Wondering wtfo myself. Not that it would have mattered this week. Burress isn't "the man" like you'd expect either. Cmon I don't care how fast he is, Carter's hands aren't the most reliable in the whole world....

What a difference a year makes with the TE position  :bag:
Todd Heap down? I'll answer my own question: NO.I took Heap or Shockey in all my leagues and both in a PPR where I can play a flex. I try not to overvalue TEs either but they fell. I really thought Shockey would be putting me over the top but he's not even getting good looks. Maybe it's because Eli has evolved to the point that he doesn't need his safety net as much. Last year when the game got tight Shockey was getting a ton of looks and making things happen. I don't know if the ankle plays into this but something just isn't right. Gates is going to struggle with Rivers and the play-calling. That's not surprising. But the Giants have been way behind twice and needed to throw and Shockey wasn't getting the ball then either. Frustrating.

Not sure what is going on. Seems like Shock is not 100% combined with just not on the same page with Eli this year. Maybe next yer he'll spend more time in the offseason instead of partying in Miami.

Never thought I'd say this but I may be benching him - I have McMichael on my bench and he is a better play than Shock right now. I suggest all Shock owners at least explore for some insurance.

It's a pretty frustrating situation. As a Shockey owner in a number of leagues, I thought for sure THIS was his year to really put himself at the top. But he's gone the complete opposite direction...

His best play of the game for me in my starting lineup was the pass interference call he got on a pick in the end zone where he knocked Sean Taylor off route and nullified an Eli Manning Touchdown pass as my opponent started Eli Manning. :bag: :X :bag: :X :bag: :X

all TE's are sucking this week (with the exception of Winslow and only if you are in a PPR league)

more bad news for Shockey

10/09 11:04 Giants: Shockey injures foot

The News

Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey suffered an apparent foot injury during Sunday's win over the Redskins, multiple sources reported. "I'm not sure exactly what it is, whether it's the ankle or whether it's a foot, but we'll see," head coach Tom Coughlin told the team's official web site.

Our View

We don't have many details at this point, but we'll obviously be on the hunt for more information. Shockey's season has been a bust due in large part to an ankle ailment, and it sounds like the bad times may continue.

The ankle has really limited Shockey's involvement in the offense. Things will probably get worse before they get better for Shockey owners. He was already no where near 100%. And the foot isn't gonna help matters.
