Does anyone have the career numbers of Cecil Shorts with Blaine Gabbert vs Chad Henne?

Nearly identical numbers from Week 7 forward, when Shorts got into the starting lineup.

There's a myth that it was all with Henne though.

Henne is twice the QB Gabbert is, and Henne is less than a whole QB.

At the very least, Jacksonville will sustain more drives with Henne.

Shorts had something like 11 targets, most of which he was open for but Gabbert couldn't hit him. Henne will be able actually reach him with the ball, and the Jags will always be playing from behind.

Dont panic and keep Shorts in your lineup.

I do not care who the QB is, if the Jags do not improve the offensive line play it is not going to matter. Jacksonville ran a lot of quick hitting pass plays and still had problems getting the ball out before defensive pressure influenced the play. Luke Joeckel clearly has issues with with speed rushers and Poe ate up the interior linemen.

On top of that, can you name the Jaguars starting TE last Sunday? How about any WR that played besides Shorts and the rookie Ace Sanders? Marcedes Lewis needs to get healthy and you have to wait for Blackmon to return since outside of Shorts, Blackmon and Lewis the targets are below average at best.

Gabbert and Henne put up very similar stats last season, I do not think a QB change alone is going to make much difference.

5.3 receptions/89 yards/0.5 TDs with Gabbert5.2 receptions/84 yards/0.6 TDs with Henne
2012 season stats:

Gabbert: 162/278 for 1,662, 58.3%, 9 TDs, 6 INTs, 77.4 rating

Henne: 166/308 for 2,084, 53.9%, 11 TDs, 11 INTs, 72.2 rating

Henne is a little more aggressive with his throws and is more willing to throw into coverage or even just throw a jump ball. But overall they have had very similar production.

Im sticking with Shorts this week against the Raiders. I think Henne will have a decent game this week in trying to prove he belongs.

9.8 targets per game with Gabbert.9.4 targets per game with Henne.

So it looks like it's not much of a difference between Henne and Gabbert in terms of Shorts' production.

I find it interesting that everyone feels like while Henne isn't anywhere close to a great QB, he is WAY better QB than Gabbert. If that's the case, why was Henne not the starter in Week 1? The GM and coaching staff is new for this year, so they have no ties to the previously drafted players. Wouldn't they start the best player....especially with a Gus Bradley as a HC. He came from the Seahawks where they have proven over the past couple of years that draft position means nothing once you join the team...the best player plays.

This is why comparing targets from last season doesn't mean anything. Henne will actually get him the ball.

To say it's a myth is offbase. It's true that Shorts played well last year with both, but he excelled with Henne.

Shorts also had more production in Sundays game in 80 seconds with Henne than 58+ minutes with Gabbert.

That was a blown route. Shorts was running one route when Gabbert expected him to be running another.

Because they want Clowney? Also, it's very common for teams to go with the younger player when all other things are relatively equal (or even if the older player is slightly better).

You can't compare Gabbert/Henne to Flynn/Wilson, because 1) Flynn wasn't a high draft pick, 2) Flynn's contract was only guaranteed for 1 year (Gabbert is signed through 2014), and 3) Wilson is WAY better than Henne.
