We here all love footballguys.com, and footballguys.com wouldn't exist without the great sport of football played by world-class athletes like Sean Taylor. It would be great to see a good person helping out good people.

I'm really not a big fan of people telling others what they should do to pay their respects. This is really a very strange post.

I don't understand why. Would they donate to Marquise Hill's, Darrent Williams, or Damien Nash's family?

These are just very unfortunate circumstances but companies donating money I don't understand how it makes things better.

Umm... No. She'll be just fine, financially.
I agree. Not to make light of a tragic situation but Taylor signed a 7-yr $18 million contract in 2004, which included a $7 million signing bonus. Add to that the NFL and any personal life insurance policies, she should be just fine....as long as Taylor didn't foolishly spend every penny of it. There are far more financially deserving people out there.

With the money that professional athletes make in general I think us donating to him would be a bit like me trying to help out Bill Gates.

Maybe they should match your donation.

I dunno, I read about families every week in my local newspaper who suffer horrible tragedies, loss of parents, etc. I would think they would need the college fund help more than this young lady. I bet Dan Snyder covers it himself.

I'm sure there will be ways to contribute if you so choose. I'm sorry, and I don't mean to sound callous, but I would think there are more needy organizations that I would contribute to.
