Should I be scared to take Larry Johnson at 1.3 (1 Viewer)

Between the 420 carries last year, losing an all-pro lineman, and having a new QB, I'm starting to worry about LJ's long term outlook. Now we factor in trade talks....

If you sharks had the 1.3 pick in a new dynasty, and LT and Jackson were gone, would you consider passing on LJ to take a Gore, Bush, Westy?

Or is all this talk of LJ's demise greatly exaggerated?

I like Bush at this spot. I can still see many taking LJ for sure, but the age difference puts this over the top for me.

The way Bush really came on the end of last year, with his youth, and playing in that high powered offense, it would seem more likely he continues at that high level than LJ to continue what he's done the last few years considering the wear on his body, and losing his line...

I'd take Bush without thinking twice.

LJ has peaked. His value will never be higher and there's a very real chance that it will begin to drop soon.

I'm wary about LJ at 1.03 in a redraft.

A start-up dynasty with 1 pt./reception? Agreed, that's a no-brainer for Bush.

I think the demise is exaggerated. On the touch thing, LT and Sjax had bunches and for a 5th year player Johnson has NOT had a large among even with his huge total in 2006. I will admit that i don't think of RBs past a two maybe three year window, but I also think Johnson is an elite talent and will perform over that time frame, probably not much after that.
