Should I give up on John Patterson? (1 Viewer)

I know it's only 2 starts but is picking up Micah Owings and dropping John Patterson a smart move this early?

Owings is available in my league.

I'd keep Patterson over Owings. Pitches in a much better pitchers park. Keep him benched until he knocks the rust off. I'm not sure he'll be the pitcher he was a few years back, but I think he'll rebound significantly enough to help you in ERA and WHIP at the very least.

Patterson's 1st two starts last year were bad too, then he had 13 K's in his third start and was just getting into a groove when he got hurt.

I'd be more patient.

What happens with Owing is up in the air...maybe Julio works through his issues (unlikely IMO, but still possible); maybe Tankersly eventually closes; or maybe the Marlins deal for another closer, or maybe Owings bombs.
