While we wait for shuke to return, let's talk The Lemon Twigs!  I feel I haven't given them enough hype yet.  Reminder!

I previously mentioned the tempo changes :wub:  .  But the styles!  I feel like we're going with the Beatles and the Beach Boys at first - baroque at its best!  Then we slip into waltz time - @rockaction, I've referenced both the Beach Boys and waltz time here, so isn't this made for you.  But the music also has essences of so much else, from jazz to Ron Sexsmith to my friend Joe's old band.  I can't even describe how extraordinary this music is.

Listen, I know 90% of this list is guys with beards and dad bods feeling angst, likely due to their beards and dad bods, and a lot of that is really great music.  This is different.  Groundbreaking, even.

This is a great freaking song, and certainly in the running for best OHWOAT, but I think another song you've already tapped takes it.

Every time I see you post a drinking video and it isn't coming out of a vintage Air Jordan I subconsciously think to myself "Pffft.  That's not the real shuke."

OK, @shuke - b4 the grand reveal, I need to ask a question.

Do you walk with the bear, or does the bear walk with you?

I had a lengthy discussion on this back in the late 90's with a veteran of the road.

I don't know if we actually understood each other - or were even really speaking, but --- it was an important thing to ask.

Anyways, I said that the bear walks with me now. 🐻

Another inspiration for undergoing this endeavor, is that growing up I loved when my hometown local rock station every Memorial Day weekend did a top 500 countdown.  I'm pretty sure it's where I first heard this song, and many others that didn't get regular radio play.  

I've liked almost everything I've heard from them.  They are another forgotten band that deserves more love.

will conclude my morning Hippling here ... a criminally under appreciated outfit, and i've long blagged on this bored about my undying love for vintage rock n' roll soul Ian Hunter - the man is as quantum as it comes, same age as Lennon would've been - man has more than paid his dues - still out there gigging, came around to the City last year, and, much to my deep regret, i missed it ... dunno if i'll ever get another chance.  #### me. 

best live experience i ever had was seeing him do this tune live at the Hoboken Spring Arts & Music 'fest in 2010 ... was thisclose to being on the damn stage - he was joined by Peter Buck for his "Dudes" encore ... it was simply the greatest music event of my life. 

anyways, going back to Mott era ... for a split New York second, they were the biggest band on the planet, first EVER to properly gig on Broadway ...  and THIS was their finest hour  :thumbup:

- hope Ian relished every last ####### second, dude deserved it.

I would say that they are probably one of my 5 favorite bands despite this song being in the 19th spot.  

Extremely tough to make a choice here.  Others considered At Least That's What You Said, Misunderstood, You are My Face, Via Chicago,

This one is a song I love as a studio track, but for me doesn’t deliver live. Live I feel this one meanders, but I can put it on every time in the car. Anyone else had that experience?

Headed to solid sound next weekend with the family to see Wilco play two nights...

Letterman is an important part of my life or something, not really sure what I'm trying to say since I'm getting drunk, but I always loved this song, but it sparks an emotional response from me after I saw this.

Actually I'd prefer everyone watch the Letterman clip and not the official video.

Also, this an awesome workout song.  I can't run because of arthritis in my feet, so I use the elliptical.  I often play this for the last 4 minutes of my workout.

Great choice. I saw them open for Love and Rockets in 1989 and have loved them ever since. When I saw them last summer with Weezer (I left while Weezer was playing), they didn’t finish with Here Comes Your Man which was awesome. They went with their cover of Head On and it was hard and fast and left a lot of posers in the audience disappointed. Awesomeness.

By the way, if @shukeis looking for more Waiting Room, that's gonna be tough. But considering I took Fugazi as greatest living artist in the movie/music draft, it's safe to say I celebrate the entire catalogue.
