I'm good --- but ---- doubtful ...Can you explain it to Binky before he has an aneurysm?
Yeah, must be.Sounds like it, with all that fake obnoxious laughter.
None finer that Comin' Home16. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Tuesday's Gone
I love the early guitar solo and then the piano solo midway through the song.
Not Freebird! @pecorino
Just let me know if there is any more “southern rock” crap coming up.YOU'RE NOT GOING TO LIKE THEM ALL, CHIEF.
Who else could be left?Just let me know if there is any more “southern rock” crap coming up.
With Waylon and Willie and the boys?Imagine life in Lubbock, TX.
It gave me one of those "Kramer-Mary Hart" convulsions. Can you explain it to Binky before he has an aneurysm?
14. Blind Faith - Can't Find My Way Home
A lot of great songs on this album. Wish they would have made more.
I prefer Phish’s rendition of Freebird over Skynyrd’s, anyway. This is a fine pick.16. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Tuesday's Gone

Wait...Phish covered Freebird?I prefer Phish’s rendition of Freebird over Skynyrd’s, anyway. This is a fine pick.
This is their best song. After this David Bird just got all weird.13. Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime
Honorable mention runner up: This Must Be The Place. I've talked in here a lot about our local non-profit station WNKU that went off the air a few years ago. I was listening on that last day. The DJ, who had long been associated with the station, gave a long farewell speech, and went into this tune for the final song, which was immediately followed by static. I was in the car with my daughter, taking her to softball practice, and I had to hold back the tears. I really wanted to make this my selection, but Once In A Lifetime is too good.
This changed all the rules for me when it hit MTV.

You're the grand marshal. Is there going to be a parade at the end of this?
You’ve redeemed yourself*, sir or madam. Not a huge FF fan but this is one of the best songs of the last 25 years. And the Letterman clip seals it.12. Foo Fighters - Everlong
I had a TV in my bedroom when I was a teenager and I grew up watching Letterman on NBC, when it was really good. Letterman is an important part of my life or something, not really sure what I'm trying to say since I'm getting drunk, but I always loved this song, but it sparks an emotional response from me after I saw this.
Actually I'd prefer everyone watch the Letterman clip and not the official video.
Also, this an awesome workout song. I can't run because of arthritis in my feet, so I use the elliptical. I often play this for the last 4 minutes of my workout.

meh11. Pixies - Where Is My Mind
This was in my list for a long time, but its use in The Leftovers, one of the greatest television series of all time, catapulted it up probably 30 spots.
OK - It has been a long road for me in my like of the Foo Fighters.12. Foo Fighters - Everlong

@The Dreaded Marco submitted Debaser as one of his three picks. Both of which made the top 20. Will his third pick?11. Pixies - Where Is My Mind

As chronicled on this very site, one of Mr. krista's best friends is a rock guy who, in addition to his own rock stuff, engineered both Surfer Rosa and In Utero (just bringing the two together for you), and he is a huge fan of Dave Grohl as a person. And since he hates most people, that is high praise. I don't love the Foos' music but always rooted for them for that reason.BTW, Gale Newman who produced “Everlong” also produced like 3 Pixies albums...which is where he learned about good music.
Yes.@The Dreaded Marco submitted Debaser as one of his three picks. Both of which made the top 20. Will his third pick?
Try to find the Robot Chicks section of town!Damn Cinci gets a bit wild
Oh there are some great stories about Grohl around the Internet. I absolutely believe he’s a truly righteous dude.As chronicled on this very site, one of Mr. krista's best friends is a rock guy who, in addition to his own rock stuff, engineered both Surfer Rosa and In Utero (just bringing the two together for you), and while I'm not sure if he worked on any Foo Fighters stuff, he is a huge fan of Dave Grohl as a person. So - I watched it - nice - and now ... have I been Rick Rolled?Oh there are some great stories about Grohl around the Internet. I absolutely believe he’s a truly righteous dude.
And IMO this is one of the greatest moments in rock history in the last 10 years.
Foo Fighters and Rick Astley. If you’ve never seen it you should.

IIRC, per a Grohl interview, what he said to Rick when he came onstage was “we do this like Smells Like Teen Spirit”. Rick replied with”Brilliant!”THAT WAS AMAZING. Love how Astley got in the rock spirit of it all, too. I LOVE THIS.
