First time I heard this was back around 1991. Dan Ackroyd had some sort of luv some blues syndication that played at 6:00 am on my clock-radio.
So tight. Great song & performance.
I hadn't heard him before and just read his Wiki entry. Fascinating, sad life. This is great stuff; eager to check out more.First time I heard this was back around 1991. Dan Ackroyd had some sort of luv some blues syndication that played at 6:00 am on my clock-radio.
He's a bridge between Delta Blues and Sam Cooke, roughly speaking.I hadn't heard him before and just read his Wiki entry. Fascinating, sad life. Used to listen to this also, it was in syndication. Ackroyd was doing new shows actually until 2017.First time I heard this was back around 1991. Dan Ackroyd had some sort of luv some blues syndication that played at 6:00 am on my clock-radio.
EDIT: it was dreamy.
Having some small experience in list threads, I'd advise not to worry about making it "better." Those of us who are here are enjoying it. Make sure you enjoy it. Would you prefer to slow it down? Don't feel any obligation to anyone here to hit a particular pace or style. If I were to ask anything, I'd say I'd like more info about why you like a particular song or artist. But if you would rather power through, that's up to you! This should be fun for you, not a chore.I know like 5 of you are enjoying this thread by the number of likes I'm seeing. But can I make it better? Do you want info about the artists? Want me to slow down or speed up? I can't believe how ####ing long this is going to take.
I'll continue to explain what meaning some of these have or where I first heard it, if it makes sense. But it seems there are a lot in this stretch I don't really have much to say other than "I like this".Having some small experience in list threads, I'd advise not to worry about making it "better." Big Clark fan, here. I like the choice.
Souvenir is great.

I don't like Come Together. Not really even the Beatles version.Big Clark fan, here. I like the choice.
My only other consideration - for certain special reasons - would be this cover of an obscure backwater band that eventually splashed up a wave or 2.
Maybe yous heard em b4 - Dirty Water Needin' Filters
I thinks they may have a future, if guys like Gary keep playin' their stuff.![]()
1. Sure. Look for one this weekend. My list:
- Maybe a few self-youtube videos talking about a few special artists that you like introducing their song. Maybe one every 100?
- Your pace looks great. Nice job
- Maybe have a guest placement once a week or a joint selection with a few special posters who know a genre well or a band extremely well
You are sad - sad - man, mi amigo...I don't like Come Together. Not really even the Beatles version.
Already on my playlist...
Love him. This cover of Come Together came up in the YouTube suggestions (music starts ~1:50). Drummer sucks, but everything else is fire.
I just figured no one read my post.![]()
I guess I should start readin' further ahead, b4 I let my itchy trigger fingers start typing.
Soory, toots.

You want me to PM Shuke?1. Sure. Look for one this weekend.
2. Thanks.
3. Interesting. I'll invite the following people to send me their favorite 3 songs (or songs by their 3 favorite artists) and I'll include that if/when I get to those artists. But I'm not telling you when/if it's coming. Urbanhack, Krista, Mister CIA, Binky, Man of Constant Sorrow, Dreaded Marco, Nipsey, Rove, DocHolliday, rockaction, zamboni, Dr. Octopus. That seems to be who has been active in here. Anyone else is welcome also.
I have exactly 2 songs by this dude on my phone. Both these :highfive:
Please - please - don't let my likes fool ya.I know like 5 of you are enjoying this thread by the number of likes I'm seeing. But can I make it better? Do you want info about the artists? Want me to slow down or speed up? I can't believe how ####ing long this is going to take.
this is awesome - played the hell out of the album this was on (All American Boy) and Edgar Winter Group's "They Only Come Out At Night"995. Rick Derringer - Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo
I grew up on classic rock. While I can't stand a lot of the same stuff that's way overplayed, there are still a few that can get me to blare the radio and sing.
Excellent, Urn!Maybe have a guest placement once a week or a joint selection with a few special posters who know a genre well or a band extremely well.
I haven't had a chance to go through but I think the shotgunning a few at a time is great.I know like 5 of you are enjoying this thread by the number of likes I'm seeing. But can I make it better? I don't know either, but I doubt it matters. I edited my quote of your post, just in case.not sure ...oops if so. post removed.
Say wuuuuuut? (Though I suppose that would certainly "make this thread more interesting.")Wanna make it better... eat somethin' really messy (and different) to each dong - wear no shirt - and see what kinda body art ya produce.
New to me. However, this is one that - somehow - I can tell will be a fav from the first note.
He's no Art Monk, but Clark rules.
Got the date wrong, but I knew it was on a Thursday. And it just can't happen for me on a Thursday right now. If it were on a Friday or Saturday there would be no question. Great band. All incredible musicians. You must go! Why not?Btw, I think Vulfpeck is at Red Rocks at the end of May. I would donate a testicle to be able to go, but it’s just not in the cards for me this year.
ETA: It's May 9. Does that help?
Big - big part of my 8th grade graduation party. I would tell more, but 8th grade MoCS was kinda nasty...
