Shuke's 1400 favorite songs by 1400 different artists. (5 Viewers)

Omg omg, figured this was as good as any place to put this.   Out at dinner and this band started with this song.  They actually sounded fantastic; better than this clip would suggest.  @Man of Constant Sorrow.

OMG, K!

This is F'n awesome!

I am listening to it now, as I am just getting home - from one of the most f'n days evah!

However, I seem to have lost my house-keys.

Thus, I'm listening ta this now, trying to figure, the best way to break into my own house.

All advive welcome.

570. They Might Be Giants - The Statue Got Me High

Was tough to pick a song for these guys, because a lot of them sound the same to me.  Wife and I used to love them, but I can only take them in small doses anymore.

Also considered: Spider
One of the best live bands I have ever seen.  Love the Johns

Very good band and a bit obscure.  Solid choice.

All you need now is a Bob Mould song. All the incarnations of Husker Du are awesome.

And  :lmao:  at Sunny Day Real Estate

559. Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends

Billie Joe Armstrong kind of gets on my nerves and I'm not too crazy about this voice, so I don't like much of their catalog, but it really works for this song.

Also considered: Brain Stew/Jaded
I showed this pick for Green Day to my daughter and she said, "oh no."  I understand this song is meaningful to BJA, but we usually skip it.  I know it's because of radio airplay, but it makes me a little sad that this is one of the first songs people think of when they think of Green Day.  IMO

I like a lot of Green Day but they annoy me some.  Not sure why.  Maybe the vocals?

I still enjoy American Idiot and still like Holiday the most from it.   As another poster mentioned, September Ends is a well-crafted song.  That could be said about the whole album.

If I had to choose my favorite song by GD, it would be from Dookie.   It contains a handful of fantastic,, fun songs that are Green Day.

Gah.

Got woke up early by stranger in my own living room.

Turns out, some fool rented my house out and forgot to tell me.

Luckily, no one was injured.

Back at parents now.

Feet are waaaaay too sore for Derby hijinks today.

Gonna relax & listen to some music - after I sleep some more.

Nice work shuke...

Your life and my life are very different.  Pretty sure that my life would bore you to sleep in less than 20 minutes.

Dude, mang. PM to be sent.
Thanks a whole lot, rock.

I think that I should now come clean, for my friends' peace of mind.

This was shtick. I am good.

I did not have issues, BUT, I did have an amazing and awesome day, with old friends that I have not seen in years.

I danced - even with my drop foot - and walked from 10 am to 1 am, so my feet really are hurting.

No Derby, but it's been too wild for me since '93.

All good - need some sleep tho.

Sorry if shtick was too much.

It happens... ☹️

🙂

BTW Gene at Audio Plus can still bite my bag for selling  the 8-inch woofers I had on layaway to some other goon.  I was NOT 3 weeks behind in payments.  Damn liar.
this all sounds like a summer drive-in movie plot.
