Good choice. I heard You earlier today though and I think it might be my choice.
Love this song and he’s part of another band that I hope might appear (maybe it has, there’s been a lot of songs so far). Also, Crosses is right up there.
So many good songs to choose from but no matter what you choose, this is way too low for Sublime. What weren’t you smoking when you made this list?
Love their work so much! How does one choose a singular song?
Yar600. Gordon Lightfoot - If you could read my mind
Also considered: The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald
no. I am now doing drunk calories. Not counting:I just pulled a 6000 calorie cheesecake out of the oven.
Coincidence?
Checking in.One of my friends has been in their touring band for about five years. I have stories. Will need more wine, though.
Love the band. Her experiences with them have been overwhelmingly great.
I hope you aren’t hitting the pot too
potting it up...
Hitting?I hope you aren’t hitting the pot too
I think you would enjoy it.
Hope it is a good change.Crap. Change in plans. I'll have to finish up tomorrow.
My man. Elmer’s got nothing on your glue.Hitting?
I knock it outta da park!
Knock the cowhide off da ball!
Spike it in the end zone!!
Kick-off - and return for a T F'N D!!!!
Just got here. But tonight is first night of Dead and Co tour, so listening to that. Will try to get some songs in.Is anyone else here tonight? Like, e.g., shuke?
Nevermind. Change in my change in plans. Somehow Mr. krista thought it was a great idea to invite someone over to the house without asking me first. I was going to entertain, but instead I've decided to go upstairs and ignore them both.Hope it is a good change.Crap. Change in plans. I'll have to finish up tomorrow.
We will be here all week.
Good ta cya.
Not really a Sublime fan. Be thankful they made the list.So many good songs to choose from but no matter what you choose, this is way too low for Sublime. What weren’t you smoking when you made this list?

Seeing this recommendation made me remember that I don't think anyone named Daysleeper, which would be on my list as well. One of the only late-90s and beyond REM songs I enjoy a lot.
1) Love the song.190. Sam and Dave - Hold on I'm coming
While Soul Man holds a spot in my heart (it's my go-to karaoke song, and I can bring the house down with it; I actually sang it a few times with a buddy's band at some college gigs, as a "guest" performer), this song is just better.
This is very good. They should switch those two activities between night and day, by the way.

If I were to think about it much, I'd likely say these are two of the best bands ever put together. Yet I rarely listen to either one of them. Thanks for the reminder; need to fix that.
During my ill-conceived three-year stint in Memphis, I lived in a house on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and the Memphis in May festival that [icon] is always on about (much more fun than I would have suspected). One of the weekends is a music festival, and not wanting to get into the madness down below I listened to Mumford and Sons play while drinking on one of the back decks. I hadn't been a huge fan before, but they sounded awesome. One of my favorite days in Memphis.240. Mumford and Sons - I Will Wait
These guys are really good. But I think they got overplayed a bit. They seemed to be everywhere a few years ago.
This song and album reminds me of a vacation we took a while back, as the whole family loved this CD so we played it multiple times on the road trip.
Not sure how familiar you are with them. The obvious areNot really a Sublime fan. Be thankful they made the list.
Recommend some more of FAK for me.
I've only visited Memphis once (2 day business trip). Beale Street is the place I hit on the one free night I had.During my ill-conceived three-year stint in Memphis, I lived in a house on a bluff overlooking the Mississippi River and the Memphis in May festival that [icon] is always on about (much more fun than I would have suspected). My wife and I went to a small club in Toronto to see Mumford when they were just sort of breaking out. They weren’t stopping in Detroit on the tour. They were fantastic live in that small venue. If I were to think about it much, I'd likely say these are two of the best bands ever put together. Yet I rarely listen to either one of them. What the hell happened to Rod Stewart later in the 70s/80s, though. Gah.

Stay Gold PonyboyStay Gold
Mama Tried is great, but I love Sing Me Back Home more, and Lonesome Fugitive soars. The Dead doing this right now.
Terrible band name but amazing musicStay Gold Ponyboy
Really like the song.
Life is but a twinkling of an eye
Yet filled with sorrow and compassion
Though not imagined
All things that happen
Will age too old
Though gold
Surprised this didn't get more love or comments. He's fabulous.
Aimee Mann makes her third appearance on the countdown! Choose a song from The Both to give her four, please!
This would be my pick, too.One thing I like about this set-up is we know you won’t repeat an artist so we are free to re-butt.
For Emma
The band is back together! I'm off temporarily to catch upon on Nipsey's thread and see how Getzlaf is doing in his WSOP event.Oh the gang is back
I kind of like the name.Terrible band name but amazing music

Love all thisNot sure how familiar you are with them. The obvious are
My Silver Lining
Emmylou
The Lions Roar
Stay Gold
Haven’t heard that song in a while- good choice
I've never read these lyrics before. They are on fire.
I only like one Jackson Browne song, Doctor My Eyes, but I like it waaaaaay too much. Guiltiest of guilty pleasures and one I'll sing at the top of my lungs. Some terrible local band played it at a BBQ joint in Memphis one night and I think I tipped them all of my money. Not just the money I had on me; all of it.222. Jackson Browne - Running on Empty
So many great songs to choose from. These Days, Load Out/Stay, Doctor My Eyes, Somebody's Baby.
I love your pick and New Slang, but my favorite is Caring is Creepy. I have a membership at the artsy theatre in Port Townsend, WA, average age of 80 years, and for about a few weeks last year their pre-movie music was just that song played on a loop. The gray-hairs were awfully confused.

It touches a melancholy nerve like no other.I only like one Jackson Browne song, Doctor My Eyes, but I like it waaaaaay too much.
What a great band but what happened to them? They fell off off so hard after what I thought was pure genius.
